-Eddie's P.O.V-

"Take everything but the delicious deals guys, my mum loves them!" I told Bill and Richie as they began rummaging through my cupboards for any snacks they could find.

"Hey, first you said the Barrens, now you're saying the sewer!" I spoke directly to Bill. "I mean, what if we get caught?"

"We won't Ed's!" Bill sighed, Hey! his stutter wasn't as bad. "The sewers are p-p-public works! We're the public aren't we" Never mind. I nodded in agreement and turned to see Richie nosing through my medicine cabinet.

"Hey Eddie, these your birth control pills?" Richie joked with a shit eating grin.

"Yeah I'm saving it for your sister!" I fired back before marching over to him. "This is private stuff!" I pushed him out of the way and closed the cabinet.

We all quickly walked out of the kitchen and made our way to the front door. i made sure to grab my inhaler and my two fanny packs. I wanted to get them out of the house quickly before my mum noticed but it was too late.

"Eddie Bear!" I heard her call from the sitting room. "Where are you boys off to in such a rush?" We all stopped and turned to the sitting room, facing her.

"Um, j-j-just my backyard Mrs K." Bill answered for me. I looked at my mum's facial expression and she seemed unsure.

"I got a new..." Bill paused as if trying to think of a decent lie to come up with.

"A new croquet set!" Richie blurted out. Thank god. "Jeez spit it out B-B-Bill!"

"Okay" I smiled at her. "Oh and sweetie, don't go rolling around on the grass, especially if it's just been cut. You know how bad your allergies can get!" She reminded me. I nodded and we went to talk out of the door.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" She asked. I sighed and walked over to her. My mum moved her face closer to me and I kissed her on the cheek. It was so embarrassing! I could hear Richie giggling to himself in the background. I slowly turned and walked back over to them.

"You want one from me too Mrs K?" Richie asked. I rolled my eyes and pushed him out of the door.

- Ben's P.O.V-

I was once again sat on my own in the library, this was nothing new. I didn't have any friends so I decided to spend my time in here. My interests had turned to the History of Derry, I had no idea what had drew me to it but something just didn't ring right with me.

As I signed 'Secret Admirer' at the bottom of the postcard I had written for Beverley. She was like a breath of fresh air, the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I would be lying if I said I didn't have a crush on her. Hell I can proudly say she is my first crush. I picked up the card and read it to myself to make sure it seemed ok.

"Your hair is winter fire, January embers. My heart burns there too" I whispered. I smiled, proud of the work I had just produced and placed the card into my backpack.

"Hi-Ho SIlver, away!" Someone yelled from outside. I peered out of the window to see Bill, Eddie, Richie and Stan riding their bikes heading to wherever. I had known them from school but never really got the chance to speak to them. I would kill to have a friendship like theirs. My thoughts were interrupted as a book was slammed down on the table.

"Found it" I looked up to see the old librarian standing beside me, one of her hands still on the book.

"Isn't it summer vacation? I thought you'd be ready to take a break from the books?" She added.

"I like it in here!" I bluntly told her, shifting in my seat.

"A boy should be spending his summer outside with his friends!" She looked down at me in pity "Don't you have any friends?"

"Can I have my book now?" I said changing the subject. She finally moved her hand off of the book and walked away.

I slid the book over to me and opened it. Yet again it was another about the history of Derry. I had got to the page about the Derry Iron works, turning the page a young boy caught my eye. He was from the victorian times, holding a bunch of eggs in his arms, there was some sort of easter egg hunt that day. The next page gave me a gu wrenching feeling as the top of the page read 'EASTER EXPLOSION KILLS 88 CHILDREN, 102 TOTAL. As I continued to turn the pages of the book I saw bodies of some that had been killed. I stopped at one page, which showed a crowd gathered round a tree, looking up at one particular branch. I quickly turned the page, each one zooming in closer to the branch when finally I saw a child's head. I immediately closed the book, I could've done without seeing that.

A little girls giggle sounded from behind me, I slowly turned and saw a red balloon floating across the library. I curiously stood up, following the balloon to a staff only area of the library.I turned and spotted a single egg sitting at the top of the stairs with smoking rising from it  I curiously walked up to it and saw the next room was downstairs, another egg sitting at the bottom. Slowly, I walked down the stairs and over to the next one. Once I had reach the egg I picked it up and began to study it closely. The lights began to flicker and I frantically looked around hoping for a single explanation.

My breathing had quickened, something dropped to the floor behind me. Turning, I could see the legs and waist for someone, dressed in exactly the same clothes the boy from the book was wearing. The mysterious figure walked down two steps, I could see in his arms he was holding eggs. The figure then walked down a few more steps and I stood in fear once I noticed the head was missing. My mind quickly flooded back to the head on the branch. He finally reach the end of the stairs and stood awkwardly. Suddenly, the body started running towards me, I backed away and quickly fled through the basement, looking behind me to see the body was still chasing me.

"Egg Boy!" I heard a deep voice say from behind me. I turned and didn't see the body anymore, instead there was a clown chasing me. I stopped once I had bumped into the old librarian, looking behind me to see that the clown had disappeared.

"What on earth are you doing?" She sternly asked. I ignored her and quickly made my way out of the library.

Relief washed over me as I finally burst through the library doors. I felt so much more safer. Looking down at my feet, I walked over the grass patch like I always had to make my way back home. After that there was no way I was going into the library again!

"Where you off to tits?" A familiar voice that I could've done without hearing said. I turned and saw Henry Bowers standing there, he had obviously been waiting for me. I began to panic and started running again.

"Gotcha!" Vic yelled as he caught me. Shit.
