"If by chance we should meet again... then it's decided that it's meant to be. Okay?" he smiled at me, I couldn't do anything but smile back and nod.
This was stupid. I knew it.
Well more like I didn't know. I didn't know how old he was. I didn't know his last name. All I knew is that we were both here. In a tattoo parlor, getting matching tattoos.
It was going to be my first, but from what I could tell, it was not going to be his.
Something about the way he looked at me made me say yes.
I sat down on chair, as the Tattoo artist Florence cleaned the skin behind my ear. I heard her start up the needle, as I closed my eyes I prepared myself for pain.
Lana's POV
My name is Lana. Today I turned 18. Today I left home to go on tour with my band "Raven Black" my family doesn't know it yet. This tattoo signals a new beginning for me, a brand new life. Which is why i had dyed my mousy brown hair to a platinum blonde, and gotten a nose ring and a marilyn piercing done. I looked punk-ish, for once I felt like myself instead of the stuck up honors student my family had raised.Actually now that i think about it... my family doesn't know anything about my secret double life. Honors student, track star perfect daughter with scholarships offered from everywhere, and guitar player for a punk band by night. I am not ready for college.
I was running away?
My band was due to leave at 6pm and it was only 11 am. This tattoo seems like a bad Idea.
I winced as the needle began marking my skin.
This. Fucking. Hurts.
Remind me why i'm doing this again?
Oh ... right... on... a... whim
As I walked into the shop i heard a bell ring above my head, there were serveral people in here already, it was a small town, someone would surely recognize me. I sat by the chair nearest to the door, and picked up a design magazine.
"So... first time here?" Said a deep husky voice.
I looked up from the design book to see a young man looking at the pictures along the walls.
"Excuse me?" I wasn't sure if he was talking to me or not.
"Your first time here?" He said turning to face me,his voice had slightly changed.
I swallowed hard as my heart skipped a beat. If not several. He was tall, maybe 6'1 or 6'2, everyone seemed tall to me at my stature of 5'4". He had dark brown hair and blue eyes.
"Is it that easy to tell?" I smiled weakly at him.
Was this the right thing to do? My parents would be so disappointed....
"Just a bit, you seem really nervous, it's not that bad" said the stranger as he approached me. He hovered above me, looking at me. I shifted uncomfortably and looked down at the magazine trying to ignore his overwhelming presence.
He finally sat down next to me and pinched me.
"Ow! What was that for?" I saw the skin on my thigh turn red.
"Well that's what a tattoo feels like, only a bunch of times... with a needle." he grinned as he held out his hand.
"My name is Nick, and you are?" He said as he leaned in, just a bit too close for my liking.
"Not interested." I said as I looked him dead in the eyes.
"Ouch!"he said as he moved his outstretched hand and clenched his chest.
