"Ugh..." I groaned and held my head. "Where am I...?" I looked around and noticed that I was in a cage along with my friends. "Wha...?"
"Oh. My. God. Molly??" I looked over and saw-
"Sadie??" I laughed and saw one of my other best friends. I then heard a dark chuckle from the shadows.
"Now that you've gotten the reunion over, it's time to get the party started." A man that was wearing all brown along with some sunglasses came from the other side of the room.
Pewds, who was in the cage next to me, whispered one word. "Barrel..."
"Hello Pewdie." Said who I was guessing was Barrel. He chuckled again, then said, "Now, Sadie, I have a job for you."
"I'll never do anything for you." She said angrily. He chuckled.
"Maybe you will... If your BOYFRIEND were in danger." He said, gesturing to the cage behind him. A figure stirred.
"D-Dimentio???" Sadie gasped, and so did I. For right next to Dimentio was MY boyfriend, BEN.
"N-no... Sadie, don't do anything for them. They'll just use you..." Dimentio pleaded. Barrel chuckled.
"If you won't do it on your own free will, the. I'll have to MAKE you do it." He walked over to Sadie and I screamed.
"No!" I said as he laughed. Then he looked straight at her, and she seemed to be frozen as they stared at each other. Barrel's brown eyes flashed green, and Sadie was enveloped in a black sort of shadow. When it faded, I gasped.
Who was there wasn't Sadie. Sure she kinda looked like her, but her eyes are red, and there was a different outfit on her. Barrel looked proud of himself.
"Meet Commander Shadow of the Barrel Army!" He laughed. All of the rest of my friends looked as scared as I was. 'Shadow' laughed, but it was cold, and hard.
"S-Sadie..." Dimentio said. Barrel laughed.
"Sadie is no more! Now," he said, turning to Shadow, "Your first act as commander is to prove your loyalty." He gestured to Dimentio. "Kill him."
Shadow smiled and nodded. Dimentio looked at her with as much shock and fear as would be expected, and more. I looked at my friends, who all had frozen. I made up my mind then. Or rather, the secret I'd been hiding since I was five did.
It was Malice's time to shine. A laugh that I did not control came out of my mouth. I felt myself start floating and became enveloped in a shadow quite like Sadie did. As I landed, I was not in control of myself. No, Malice was.
You see, Malice was a shadow brought to life. She possessed me when I was a little girl, and I've kept her hidden all these years. She was the only friend I had for a while.
So now here I was, and boy did I look different. My skin was grey, my hair was black with red on the edges, and I had weird swirls all along me. All of my friends gasped, and I saw that they changed as well. They all had wings, and all but Cait had a horn.
Barrel laughed. "Malice?? Long time no see, friend." Wait... He KNEW Malice???
"No... Barrel..." Malice breathed. Barrel looked overjoyed.
"Have you finally come crawling back to beg for me to take you back again?" He laughed, looking at her slyly.
A flash of pictures ran through Malice's and my mind. Terrible pictures. Barrel... Abused her. Badly. Malice got angry then. Really angry.
"YOU THINK THAT I'D EVER COME BACK FOR YOU???" She roared. A flash of fear went through his eyes, but instantly returned to a cocky look.
"You can't get out of the cage, Malice. So you can't do anything." He laughed. So did Malice.
"I hid some of my powers from you, Barrel. And one of those things," she said, and promptly turned into an actual shadow and went out of the cage forming back, "was that."
Barrel looked scared. Then he looked at Shadow, and his gaze hardened. "Get her." He whispered. Shadow nodded then came at me. Malice felt no mercy as she uppercutted her, but neither did she as she kneed Malice in the stomach. I wasn't in control, but SWEET LUNA that hurt!
Malice had other tricks up her sleeve. She smiled and the world went a shade of red. Malice laughed, and all of the sudden, Shadow became enveloped in a dark red aura. Shadow looked shocked, and so did Barrel.
Then, Shadow broke free of it. The red shade was still there, though. She came and punched me, and I fell to the ground. She laughed again. Malice got up and tripped Shadow. She growled, but I could tell she was weakening.
There was also the fact that Malice was about as beat up as her. Then I hear a shout behind me, and a different voice behind her. We both looked away, and I heard a clang. A sword appeared next to me, and I realized it was Stephano's. Malice glanced at him and nodded. As she looked back, however, we saw that Shadow had a sword as well.
Malice laughed and swung the sword threateningly. Shadow didn't look fazed. Then the sword fight started. Both of them were pretty well matched, but after about a minute or two, both had many cuts.
I figured it was time to do something to free Sadie. Malice allowed me to control the mouth.
"Sadie, I know you're in there. You gotta fight Barrel." I said. She laughed.
"Ha! That pathetic girl is gone!" She stated, but I continued on.
"Come on, Sadie. Think of Dimentio, think of your friends! Look what you're doing!" I insisted. This time, she faltered, and then cut a large cut on my stomach. I gasped, and collapsed. I kept at it, though. "Come on, Sadie! D-don't do this.."
Shadow gripped her head but regained control. She moved the sword to my neck, and looked at me. "P-please..." I breathed. This time, she gripped her head and screamed.
"N-NOOOO!" She yelled loudly, then collapsed to her knees. She slowly got up.
"M-Molly? Dimentio? Wha... What happened?" It was Sadie. She was back. At this thought, I smiled and gave in to the darkness swimming through my vision.
