Un-Broken Silence

Chapter 3

Asha-Marie's POV

'Why was he staring at me?' I am confused at the fact that the mist popular guy and occasional bad boy, Ashton King, was staring at me. 'Maybe he was staring at some one else.'  Yeah, he probably was.

I entered me first period, Math; I love Math actually, it's so easy. Mrs. Bronx stared at me then asked.

"Why are you late Statue?" In a soft tone.

I took out my notepad and wrote: "Sorry to be late Miss, had to see the principal."  I showed her and she nodded for me to take a seat. There was only one seat and it was beside, 'Yup you guessed it right folks,' Ashton King. I slowly made my way to my seat and sat down; and I also placed my Math notebook, textbook and geometry set on the table.

"Okay class, before I begin, I will be putting you all in groups of six. That will leave us with four groups in all..." 'Uh I hope I don't get put in the with Ashton ,"...okay, Group 1: Shana, Kris, Robin, Kai, Gayle, Cherry; Group 2: Regina, Carlos, Tristan, Silence, Riley and Ashton..."

After she said Ashton's name, my brain shut off completely. 'I will be doing a project with Ashton King.'  This can't be happening; not here, not now, not ever! We are never ever, ever suppose to cross paths.

'I have my reasons why.' (sigh) Story time children, gather around, come come. Okay, back when I was in the sixth grade, I had a huge crush on Ashton King. I didn't tell anyone except Regina, because, off course, she's my bff. Anyway, long-story-short, I told him how I felt about him and his exact words were, "And I care why? Your just a staute, ha! You really thought I would risk my reputation for a nobody. Hate to break it to you, but, I will never love you, so keep that in mind." From then I just avoided him but his bimbo girl just can't seem to stop annoying me.

********************Lunch Time********************

'Oh another A+, eh... not surprised'  (flips hair). So I just came out of Chemistry, with yet another 'A+' on a quiz. 'Damn I'm on fire.'

I walked to my locker to see Regina and Taylorwaiting for me. BTW, Taylor is another friend of mine, and so is Caroline; you will meet her soon.

"Hey Silence," I waved at Taylor before I opened my locker and putting my bag in.

"So, are  you gonna tell me?" Regi asked out of the blue.

I raised an eyebrow at her. 'What am I suppose to tell her?'

"Um, hello, Mrs. BMW X6 Black," she nudged me.

I chuckled silently and smiled then I wrote on the notepad. 'Got it on my birthday last year from my brothers and I just chose to drive it now.'

Before, I use to drive an old pick-up truck because I wanted to be invisible. I also use to wear old fashion clothes. 'Which are now in the trash off course.'  But then, I slowly turned into the real me. Some girls see me as a threat but it's just clothes.

We made our way into the cafeteria. It was quite packed but I don't care. I don't really eat at school anyway. 'And no, it is not the food.'  Ever since 'she' left, I found myself eating less. Most times I don't eat for two days straight. 'And I know what your thinking.'  "Food is LIFE!" Yeah... but, I don't really eat.

Anyway, I am now being dragged and pushed down in a infront of Caroline. Regina and Taylor then dropped themselves beside me.

"You okay boo?" Caroline cooed.

Meet Caroline Ford, beautiful, talented, smart and happens to be my brother's, Carlos', girlfriend.

I nodded then she asked, "Okay so what are we having?"

"A hamburger with french fries and a soda for me," Someone behind me said. 'Oh no!'

I didn't turn around, I just held my head down. I heard the person chuckle then someone sat beside me. 'Oh. My. God. Why?'  I looked beside me to see, the one, the only, Ashton King. 'Heaven take me now.'  My eyes were wide as I slowly leaned myself away from him. His eyes met mine and to be honest they were mesmerizing. But what scared me was the fact that they held lust.
