"Well why don't we just escape!? I thought we already planed this?" I asked.
"No. I cant. you know how Mrs. Kinney is!" Haivenne shot back.
"Well fuck you then. I thought were best friends?" I yelled at her.
"Stop being aggressive Kayla. I'm just being honest. I cant do this because I need somewhere to live."
" Maybe we will get adopted and become sisters right?" I smirked.
"Sorry Kayla." she said and walked away slowly.
I felt like ripping her to pieces, my own best friend. But Mrs. Kinney would never find out. Haivenne doesn't trust me and were best friends!

"Okay sweetlings, its time for bed. We wake up at 7 am sharp. we have lots if chores so get a good sleep."
Did she really think she was going to see me in the morning? she must think I'm crazy!
I looked out the window and signed.
"you're really doing this aren't you?" Haivenne asked touching my shoulder.
"It was going to be us until you bailed out on me!"
"I'm sorry Kayla. and if it makes you feel any better. I do want to come. but who will adopt us?"
"I don't know. but being adopted is better then staying in an orphanage."
" I guess ill see you....Never again." Haivenne said. tears were rolling down her face. I don't know if they were tears if joy or sad tears.
"Please come with me." I said. and I started to cry as well.
"I can't Kayla. I need some time to think about it." Haivenne said
"Well your time is up. I'm leaving right now and its your choice." I said opening the window.
"Okay...I'll go." Haivenne said. but she seemed unsure of that.
"Okay let's go."
"No. I can't." Haivenne jerked away from me.
"What's wrong with you?"
"I can't go. Dont get mad. but I like my life here. its like a home to me. and this is more of a home then being in the streets homeless." Haivenne said.
" What the fuck are you talking about? This is not a home. this is the old days....SLAVERY. and when I said run away, I didn't mean be homeless. I meant getting adopted. and if you have a problem with that then you can stay here and be a lazy slave and sit around with nobody but yourself!" I yelled and slammed the window shut. Haivenne waved at me but I didnt wave back. I kind of felt guilty but I was just mad because I really wanted to have my bes friend with me.

The streets were so quiet that I could hear my own heartbeat. Somebody grabbed me by the Neck and put me in the car. I wasn't being adopted. I was being kidnapped. Haivenne was right.

I woke up on a hard wood floor.
"Hi , my name is Ashton Irwin. and I am going to adopt you." A man said in my face.
"uh I-I-I yeah...of course!" I yelled back.
"I'm pretty famous. I'm from 5 seconds of summer and I found you and some old lady said you were homeless and I told her that you were my daughter. So now your my daughter." He said and was smiling.
I have to say one thing about my daddy. HE WAS HOT!
