Hiding every cloud under a smile, when there's cameras

Jungkook

Shapes were for some reason always flowing through Jungkook's mind.

The shapes of the notes, the pills, his smile.

During the time of their relationship, Taehyung's smile seemed to become more and more of a rare sighting.

And Jungkook tried. God. He tried so hard to just make the slightest of a smile shine through the older. Sure, he smiled on stage, but the action no longer contained the warmth it once did, instead it felt forced and sad.

The two had still slept next to each other every night until the very end. Taehyung always running his hand through the younger's hair, as he talked on and on. It often made no sense, they were just stories he told that seemed to hold no meaning to the younger.

Jungkook could recall the slightest of one of them.

-

"...The rich man had everything, great friends, money, someone who loved him for who he was. He had every reason to be happy, yet he wasn't. He had no reason for it whatsoever and he was afraid. Afraid that he would somehow drag his friends down with him because of it. Especially afraid of somehow infecting the purity of his precious gem that he, in no way, deserved..."

-

That was all that Jungkook had heard before drifting off into a peaceful slumber, completely oblivious to the deeper meaning behind the older's story. Taehyung had practically explained all of his problems to the younger while Jungkook used them as a way of seeking comfort so he could fall asleep.

How sick.
