I woke up to something warm laying across me. I look over and see Niall curled into my side with his arms draped over my chest. I make a little "aww" sound. He's such an adorable little boy. I begin to stroke his hair as I thought about everything. How could someone be so evil towards a small child? Don't they understand that it damages them? I wonder where Niall is going to go when he gets out. I had read his chart when I was at the nurses station and apparently he is going to be here for about two years. He'll be twelve by the time he leaves. Poor boy. As I laid thinking I got an idea. A brilliant one. I was thinking that when I get out I coul- Suddenly Niall begins stirring and whimpering. I wrap my arms around him and pull him into my chest. "shh. It's okay, I've got you.", I whispered into his ear. He nudged his head further into my chest but continued to whimper. Then an idea came to mind. Maybe if I sing to him he'd be at ease.
