why Alex? (chapter.1)

Adrian made her way through the crowded halls and into her third hour math class. Having just came from swimming her strawberry blonde hair was pulled back in a rubber band. Adrian began to space out as mr. Klein was explaining the assignment. She had noticed herself doing that often. "Adrian could you please listen to me." She was pulled back to reality by mr. Klein's harsh but caring words. Suddenly Adrian begin to blush as she realized she had been daydreaming about Kevin. Kevin Meyer was a new boy at school who was rather shy but, something told Adrian that there was more to him than that. It's dark blue eyes and jet black hair didn't do much for him being so shy and all.
"Adrian seegan could you please come forward." She hadn't noticed the bell rang. Then she was summoned up front by mr. Klein she realized that she had been daydreaming again. Mr. Klein went on with his usual you are my best student talk but, when he got to the spot where he usually stopped he continued to this time. Adrian's attention was drawn as her favorite teacher explained a rough situation. "I'm also the football coach and I have a new student named Kevin. He could be the best of the team but, he's flunking my class. He needs someone to tutor him. If I am correct I think you are the best person for the job. What do you say?"
