Anna Reece was a broken girl with a very dark past that haunted her every breathing moment. The things that she had to learn to live with were things nobody should ever have to endure. Both the mental and physical scars would remind her for the rest of her life about the torture she had to go through. The endless night, the crying herself to sleep, the wishing she was dead. She remembered it all too well.
Three years later, someone finally realized what was happening and saved her. She moved in with her grandmother and had lived with her ever since.
She still felt suffocated.
She still didn't feel safe.

"Anna, dear! Breakfast is ready!" Her grandmother yelled from the kitchen. Anna looked at herself in the mirror one more time before grabbing her purse and going to the kitchen.
"Well, where are you going? You are looking nice this morning." Anna's grandmother told her. Anna smiled.
"Thank you, grandma. I am going to look at an apartment to rent. I've already talked to the man who is renting it out. We have made a doable paying arrangement. Now, all I've got to do is go look at it and see if I want it or not." Anna told her grandmother carefully. Her grandmother stopped what she was doing and looked at Anna.
"Anna, dear. You don't have to move out so quickly. You are more than welcome here, you know that. Why don't you just stay here and save up your money." Her grandmother tried to persuade her.
"Grandma. I have to get out there sometime. I want to get out there." Anna told her grandmother while holding her hands.
"I am just worried about you, dear. It's only been two years since you got free from that monster." Anna's grandmother told her.
"I know, grandma. But, i'm twenty now. I have my own job that pays really well. I can afford an apartment now. I love you, but I want to get out there. I need to get out of here." Anna told her grandmother.
Anna's grandmother sighed and looked up at her with a worried facial expression.
"Okay, darling. But just know, you are more than welcome here if you ever want to come back. Or even if you need someone to talk to. I will be here. I love you, dear."
A tear escaped from Anna's eye as she hugged her grandmother. She pulled back and smiled.
*An hour later*
"This apartment is very nice, Mr. Jeon." Anna said.
"Yes it is." Mr. Jeon replied with a smile.
Anna took a moment to think about the apartment.
"I'll take it." Anna said to a happy Mr. Jeon.
After all the paperwork was done, Anna stood back and admired the apartment one more time. She was excited to finally be able to take care of herself. She didn't like when other people took care of her. She felt helpless and the feeling of being helpless wasn't one she liked all that much.
Anna got in her car and drove back to her grandmother's house.
The next day, she woke up and started loading her stuff into her car. It took most of the morning, but her and her grandmother had finally loaded everything up. After they bid their goodbyes Anna got in her car and headed to her new apartment.
After about a twenty minute drive, she finally reached her apartment. She went to the front door of the apartment complex building and cursed to herself when she realized that she forgot the pin to the front door. She set the boxes of stuff in her hands down and pulled her phone out. She quickly called Mr. Jeon.
"Mr. Jeon? I am very sorry to disturb you, but I forgot the pin to the front door. I'm trying to move my stuff up to the new apartment." Anna said, embarrassed.
"Oh, you're alright, Anna. The code is 982374. Do you have a lot of stuff? I can send my son down to help you." Mr. Jeon offered.
"No, thank you. I can manage. I wouldn't want to be a bother-"
"Nonsense. You aren't a bother at all. I'm sending him down now." Mr. Jeon said before hanging up.
Anna sighed. She typed the pin into the door and it opened. She propped the door open with her body as she leaned down to pick the boxes up. Just then, she heard the ding of an elevator and saw an extremely attractive man walk out. He was on the phone for a brief second before he hung up and greeted her.
"Hi. You must be Anna?" The attractive man asked Anna. She nodded, frozen at the beautiful sight in front of her.
The man smiled at her.
"My name is Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook." He looked down at the boxes in her hands. "I can help you with that, if you want." Jungkook offered. Anna hesitated for a second before handing him some of the boxes.
"Thanks-" Anna tried to say but it came out as a whisper. Embarrassed, she cleared her throat and tried again.
"Thank you. You really don't have to help if you don't want. I have a lot of stuff. This is only some of it." Anna told him honestly.
"No, it's alright. It's my pleasure." Jungkook said with a breathtaking smile. Anna smiled back.
"Well, I can go get some more stuff from my car." Anna said, finding her confidence.
She walked out to her car and she grabbed a couple more boxes of her stuff.
After about thirty minutes, they had successfully moved all of her stuff into the apartment. She set the last box down and dusted her hands off for a dramatic effect. She turned around to face Jungkook, but became startled when she discovered that he was already looking at her. She cleared her throat.
"Thank you so much for helping me move my stuff. I really do appreciate it." Anna said. Jungkook smiled.
"As I said before, it was my pleasure. I'll see you around?" Jungkook asked as he opened the door and looked at her.
"Yea." Anna said while blushing. He smiled at her and walked out of her apartment.
