Seriously, you mess up just ONCE and then your parents pack your bags and ship you off to some town in Oregon that's not even on the map! Well, I guess I should explain what's going on and who I am. My name is Alexis West, I am a 12-year-old girl with bright blue eyes and short brown hair that stops just above my shoulders with colorful pins to keep it out of my eyes, and I am documenting my INSANE summer even though I probably shouldn't.
Let's start at the beginning, I got in some serious trouble with my parents during the school year. My perfect grades slipped and I got in a fight. So they told me I was going to their friend's place for the summer to get into shape. So there I was a week into summer vacation, on a bus to the middle of nowhere. "This is stupid..." I sighed and pulled out my sketchbook. I started to draw to busy myself as the bus went on and on with the occasional bump.
After a couple of hours and a nap, the bus stopped in gravity falls. I grabbed my backpack and suitcase and stepped off the bus. I was greeted by a banner saying 'WELCOME TO GRAVITY FALLS' and... I think it was dripping glitter.
An old man in a suit and fez was standing in between a couple of twins my age, a boy in an orange shirt, shorts, white socks, sneakers, a vest, and a brown hat and a girl with braces in a pink sweater with a shooting star on it, a headband, a skirt, and black flats. They both had bags with them just like I did.
"Hey! Call me Grunkle Stan! This is Mable and Dipper, My niece and nephew." The old man said. "I'm Alex..." I said hesitantly and looked on skeptically.
"Hi! We're gonna be great friends!" Mable said brightly and beamed and I felt better.
"I think so too." I smiled.
Dipper laughed a little.
My despair vanished at that moment and I began to think that this summer would not be so bad, at least not with these two to be my friends. I couldn't wait. Little did I know the horrors I would witness while I was here, but that's for later.
