I turned and see Marcus. Did he hear our conversation? “Nothing” I said. “Yes something! You two! Go talk” Martinus said. We both nodded and went to Marcus’ room again. We go sit on his bed and just look down till I break the silence. “Tinus said that you had and eye on me yesterday night. Why?” I asked. “I didn’t want that there would happen something to you. You don’t know how many freaks there are in our school” he said. “Yeah” I said. I hoped he would say that he was in love with me but yeah best friend. But then I remember what he said before we went to sleep. I want to know why he called me like that. “Uhm… why you called me sweetheart when I fell asleep” I asked. I saw he was red. “You weren’t asleep?” he asked. I shook my head. Then my phone rang. It was Cedric. “Hey” I said. “Hey I heard about Elias. Are you okay?” he asked. “Yes I’m okay” I said. “I’m really sorry I didn’t come last night, I was really sick” he said. “That’s okay” I said. “Uhm… I wanted to ask you something.” He said. “Yeah?” I asked. “Are you in love with Marcus?” he asked. I looked at Marcus and smiled. He smiled back. “Yes I’m sorry” I said. “It’s okay, I knew you like him, but just hoped that I could get a chance, but it’s really okay. We’re still friends right?” he asked. “Of course, always” I said. “Thanks god, I have to go now, bye Mickey” he said. “Bye” I said back. “Who was it?” Marcus asked. “Cedric…wanted to apologize again and wanted to ask me something” I said. “Ah okay” he said. “And now, why you called me like that?” I asked curious and smiled.
