"Soul get up! We have a mission to get ready for!" Maka yelled from the living room. She was already all geared op and ready for the mission. Her outfit had changed since she grew up of course. No longer the plaid skirt and yellow vest under her trench coat. She had gotten boots that rose above her shins for extra protection. Tight black pants, however they still gave her a large area of motion. Her shirt was red, it dipped in the front but then crossed in the back. Finally, a leather jacket. A gift soul had gotten her last Christmas. It definitely made her look older, it finally showed how much she had grown. Her curves and it complimented her legs.
Soul groaned in bed as he rolled over then successfully landed on the floor. Another groan escaped from him as he slowly got up and yawned. He had been up late. Jamie had decided to video call him so she could help him study. Which helped. However he wasn't focused too much on the studying portion. More so he was studying her. Her laugh, her smile, the way she bites her lip when she is concentrating. All the things he found adorable about her.
The way that one strand of hair would fall loose and she would tuck it behind her ear so carefully and precisely and he would observe the way her fingertips brushed against the skin of her cheek and Soul couldn't help but recall the amount of times he had seen that and wished it was him doing it for her. Now he was the luckiest guy in the world to do it. She would occasionally hum to herself when working, not even noticing it herself when she would correct her notes if she was accidentally singing melody when she was attempting to harmony. It was silly but it was just so perfect at the same time. She was self conscious and so anytime she blushed when someone complimented her, his heart swelled. Whenever she fought, she gained a new persona that even intimidated him sometimes.
But these weren't things a cool guy would say aloud. Just thoughts. So for now he would keep it to himself.
"SOUL!" Maka shouted again. Soul sighed as he got up and got dressed for the day.

Jamie and Angel made their way to the Death Room. Angel looked as if she hadn't slept at all last night. The bags beneath her eyes grew dark and heavy and her pupils had even shrunk as if her natural madness hadn't made them any smaller than normal. That was a lie, she looked rather normal with her silver hair which she cursed herself from her father's side.
Her body was slower in its walking manner and she didn't speak much either, speaking quietly only. Her skin looked as clammy as a fish and she kept yawning but anytime Jamie questioned her, Angel threw off the suspicions as she explained she stayed up all night with a good book and when she looked at the clock she saw that it was early in the morning. Jamie had continued to worry, but she kept it to herself. Not pressing any further.
As they were inside, Jamie's eyes scanned the Death Room before darkness overcame her vision and she tensed, feeling a warmth over her eyes to reveal someone was covering her face. Fighting her reflex to grab the hands and flip them straight into the ground, she calmly reached up and took the hands off her eyes but just as she was going to turn around and spot the perpetrator, her lips were suddenly the new source of being covered.
Soul was the sneaky creature who was now kissing her and recognizing the feeling of his rougher and warmer lips which made her dizzy from his intoxicating cologne, she smiled and returned the affectionate gesture. She swore she heard Black Star gagging behind them somewhere.
Angel watched the kiss with a small smile and when her eyes drifted just slightly, her eyes met those of Death the Kid and so commenced their held gazes. After a moment, Angel watched Kid's gaze grow more concerned as he took in more of her disheveled appearance and she frowned, looking forward once more.
