"How often do you come up here?"

"As much as I can."

Jungkook glanced at the fragile boy, something inside him broke every time he looked at him. Something is going on and he knows it but he didn't want to pressure Taehyung. The noise of cheers and screams told Taehyung that the school day was at an end. "End of school." Jungkook looked at the boy in front of him, he was quite fascinated by him. They walked down the stairs in silence. Taehyung walked extremely slowly and Jungkook wanted to know why. "Why are you walking so slow?" Taehyung shrugged in response until he heard a voice. A feminine voice, a voice that he hated, every time he heard this voice a little bit of him died. It was the voice of Maddie. As soon as he heard her laugh that reminded Taehyung of a cackle that belonged to a crow.

Taehyung didn't like crows. They scared him. The way they screech and how they're always in the trees. They were so manipulating and interesting, so interesting that Taehyung hated it. Maddie reminded him of this, evil, manipulating, annoying. When he heard her voice he sprinted down the stairs, leaving a confused Jungkook behind him. Taehyung ignored Jungkook shouting, he didn't want to face her. Oh boy was his life a mess.

"Why did you run? Are you okay?" Jungkook sounded so worried but Taehyung didn't care. He had to deal with his drunk dad after this and he just wanted to end it all but he was a coward. "You ask too many questions." Taehyung said a bit too harshly. "Do you want me to walk you home?" Jungkook clearly didn't give up on Taehyung even though he was harsh with Jungkook. Jungkook knew that this is what happens when somebody is neglected and ignored but he didn't know what to do. When jungkook feels down he just really wants a hug but Taehyung clearly didn't want that. Plus it would be extremely awkward to just hug him, as bad as he wanted to do it he couldn't. Taehyung's face hardened and his gaze became cold. "No thank you." after this Taehyung ran off.

"Hang on we catch the same bus." Jungkook was a lot faster than Tae so he caught up quickly. He grabbed Taehyung's wrist causing Taehyung to turn around a slap him. "Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't mean to." Jungkook looked up at Taehyung with the same gaze. He wasn't in love with the boy, no he wasn't. "You have some force." Jungkook said as they got on the bus. "Uhh yeah I am sorry I didn't mean to." Jungkook chuckled. "It's okay I've had worse." Taehyung looked at Jungkook at lightly slapped his head. "Stop acting like you're a gang leader and sit down." they both laughed and sat down. They laughed and joked like this for a while and it amazed Taehyung. It was so easy for Jungkook to get to Taehyung. As soon as Taehyung realised this he got quiet.

"Tae what's wrong you were laughing and joking just a minute ago." Jungkook asked. "I'm fine." Jungkook looked at him with disbelief and just as he was going to say something a little old lady turned around. "Aren't you two just the cutest couple?" she said in her caring old lady voice. Taehyung was going to deny it but Jungkook being Jungkook thanked her and held Taehyungs hand. Taehyung stopped 3 stops before his actual stop because he was too ashamed to show Jungkook where he lived. He felt bad because it was like he was lying.

Eventually he got home and with great hesitation he unlocked the door and walked inside.

"Taehyung you're late." The voice boomed through the house sending shivers down his spine. He gulped. "I know." Taehyung's voice became so small that it almost became inaudible. "We've talked about this haven't we?" Taehyung nodded not trusting his words and the man grabbed Taehyung by the collar and threw him on the floor. "You're pathetic no wonder your mom left you." The man started kicking Taehyung causing Taehyung to cough up blood. This was Taehyung's farther. How nice was he? He picked Taehyung up and wrapped his hands around Taehyung's throat.
