Please
Screams rang through my ears as I ran through the clouds of dust. The sky nothing but a large black bios, blanketing the sky.
Someone.
My legs felt as if they would fall off any second now as I limped my way through the fallen debris. Our large prosperous capital now lay in crumbles with our shattered hopes.
Please.
Everything rushed by in a blur of booms and cries as the bombs rained from the heavens, destroying everything we worked for.
Help.
A particular bomb fell from the sky and landed only 30 meters away from me. The screams were replaced by a really annoying ringing as it exploded into a burst of flames.
Please.
The shock wave pushed me to the ground and shook the few buildings that weren't mountains of rock and metal. A whole other definition of pain seared through my broken body. It's difficult to explain, but imagine everything hurting so bad that you go completely numb.
Save me.
Remember when I said my legs felt like they were going to fall off? I think they finally did.
Please.
With blurred vision I watched as others crawled and limped away, like ghost trying to escape their death. That's when I realized what they're running from.
Don't leave me.
Flames lick their way through rubble, burning everything in its path. The exoth that were too slow or too weak to move any further got consumed by the orange tongues.
Please.
I tried to lift myself up but the lower half of my body protested with sparks of pain. When I looked down to see what the hold up was I could only sigh as I discovered my legs were still attached to my body. I would be happy if they wern't stuck under a large, metal rod.
I don't want to be alone.
I pushed and pulled in every way possible before coming upon a conclusion- I was going to die. The fire was inching its way closer and closer until it danced only 5 earthen meters away. There was no escaping my faith.
Goodbye.
I closed my eyes for the last time and let the flames tickle my skin until they finally indulge me in all their burning glory. My screams echoed through the night air along with the other lost souls that were finally getting a break at life. I once heard stories that quick. That you would feel a few seconds of pain and then drift off into the after-life. To these people I say- your wrong. Dying isn't quick. Its long and painful and long and..... is that he smell of my burning flesh? Death is probably the longest few seconds of my life. It gives me a chance to reflect on my life's regrets and man do I have a ton of regrets. I regret not being at my little brother, Soter's, induction into the Academy. I regret being mad at mom for getting the wrong kind of bernchips when I was 25 (13 in Earthen years). I regret not listening to dad when he told me to get inside the house when the humans first arrived. That scar never did fade back into his charcoal skin. With these regrets and more I cried in agony the fire ate away at my bones.
Please.

I woke with a jolt into the darkness of my small room. It took approximately 5 earthen minutes for my breathing to normalize and for my nerves to stop tingling as if I were still aflame. It took me 3 more earthen minutes to gather my thoughts.
