"Okay," Donnie says to his wife, coming into the kitchen with a baby book in his hand. In the other hand was an inflatable donut for his aching skin from the cactus incident. "I know I'm a brainiac, but I don't know much about babies. If babies can only see in black and white, then how come that Barney dude is purple?"
Grayson giggled as she wiped down the kitchen table, wearing worn-out clothes that were suitable to get dirty with dust and bleach. "Dinosaurs come later, tontito." Gray says. Don chose to sit down in one of the nicely furnished chairs to relax his sore body. "Wait, don't sit there! I'm doing the floors next."
"Again?" Don asked her. "Oh, wait. I read about this. This is the nesting period!"
"It must be because I can't seem to get this place clean enough!" Gray ranted, trying to walk away from Donnie to move on to another spot to clean.
Don took Gray's arm and pulled her to his plastron. "Come here." He smiled, reaching down with his lips to kiss her. Grayson gladly returned the gesture, but she became a little grabby. "Ah! ah, ah! Ow." Don pulled away from the kiss.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Poor baby."
"Yeah, I think there's one still in there." Don said, thinking a needle from a cactus might be stuck inside his pants.
"Well, let me take these pants off so I can take a closer look." Gray chuckled, undoing his belt.
"Whatever you say, Doctor." He played along.
While Grayson checked Donnie's side and thighs for cactus needles, she remembered something she needed to tell her husband. "Oh, I forgot to tell you something. I ran into an old friend of yours the other day. Lily, something..."
"Lily Swanson?"
"Uh-huh!" Gray nodded.
"Really?" Don was beginning to grow nervous. "Uh, when?"
"Last week. Same day at the cactus." She said. "I think she's jealous."
He chuckled nervously, hugging his wife. His head rested on her shoulder. "Really?" Then, the doorbell had gone off. "I'll get it." Don stumbled in the kitchen with his inflatable donut as he struggled to pull up his pants.
Ding-dong!
"I'm coming!" Don called out, tossing the donut to the couch as he jogged through the living room. Finally, he buckled up his pants. "Ow!" When Donnie opened the door, he was expecting a delivery or some advertisement, but instead, it was a visit from his brothers and Splinter.
"Surprise!" His family shouted.
"Oh, my gosh... Guys!" Donnie leaned his left hand on the doorframe, his wedding band clearly visible. He brought his hand down quickly while he nervously smiled.
"Sorry, son. I wanted to call first." Splinter hugged his son tightly. "But this was your brothers' idea."
"We spoke to Lily the other day and she said we had to get our butts out here and see what you were up to!" Mikey says, sporting a pair of sunglasses.
"She practically insisted," Raphael spoke.
Next, Chey, the little light brown chihuahua that belonged to Donnie and Grayson, barked and ran out of the house. He booked it between the mutants' feet. "Whoa!" Leo exclaimed, seeing the little animal scurry into the front yard.
"Squirrel?" Raph asked,
"Donnie!" Grayson called out from the house. "Who is it?"
"I got it, hun...mmm..." Don shut the door to prevent his family from seeing his wife inside the house.
