Princes and Princesses

It was the first day of class that fall day. Students where waiting for the bus, some walking the streets along with adults rushing to work. Though she couldn't see it through the car window, she was quite sure people were bustling in the subways.

Her second year in high school was going to start that day. She didn't expect much for that school year. If anything she was dreading stepping through the gates again.

The car was already near the school gates and she could see the cherry blossom trees welcoming them through. It would be nice to walk in the path, it was always quite wonderful.

"Please stop the car, Jinyoung-ssi. We can walk from here." One of Yuna's best friends Choi Soomin stated politely.

Jinyoung glanced at the three young ladies in the rear view mirror. "Are you sure, agussi?"

Soomin nodded. Although baffled, the young driver in his early 20s complied to the young lady's request. Jinyoung got out and opened the door, first out was Choi Soomin, the rich girl with short hair and bangs.  Next was Lee Jisook, the good girl, with long hair and brown tips. Last was Seo Yuna, with princess like beauty, with long hair and bangs.

They stepped out of the car, breathing in the fresh morning air that was mixed with the sweet scent of the cherry blossoms. It was such a shame that these beautiful trees only lasted for two weeks during spring.

"Would you like me to walk you to the gates, agussi?" Jinyoung asked while shutting the door.

"It's fine. We can walk alone." Soomin told him and started walking down the path.

"But agussi –"

Jisook gave him a kind smile and bowed her head a little, as a sign of parting. After years of working under the Choi family, specifically being Soomin's driver, Jinyoung had learned that she was quite stubborn.

There was still a few minutes before the opening ceremony would start so they took their time admiring the cherry blossoms. It was a beautiful sight, quite calming to walk through.

Some students already started accumulating on the path they were walking in. Yuna became anxious as she heard their whispers and caught some of their conversations.

"There's she is! Choi Soomin!" She heard a girl exclaim from her left side.

"Really that's Seo Yuna? That's her? She's really pretty."

"Why are they walking here though? Shouldn't they be in Soomin's car?"

"Who cares this scenery compliments Lee Jisook's beauty."

"I want to be friends with them. Let's approach?"

"Are you crazy? Soomin's like royalty, Jisook's to perfect, and Yuna's way out of your league. You have no chance why bother them."

Jisook sighed inwardly. She really wanted to be friends with them, too. But her "perfection" always got in the way. Soomin was used to this but she got kinda tired of being treated like royalty all the time. Yuna got used to the special treatment because she's been friends with Soomin for years, but she was normal and if anything they were out of her league.
