Chapter 1 || El's "birthday"

Mikes POV

Today is November 6th, the anniversary of Eleven and i first meeting. Also the day when i realised there was more to life than just playing D&D. Because when i met her my life was turned upside down (hehehe see what i did there).
Eleven and i have a special bond. Not like the others, its like Max and Lucas, but better. I love her but im not sure if she loves me in the same way. So today i thought i could do something special for our "anniversary" i would prefer to call it a birthday because anniversary is like being married for like 40 years!

El POV

Today is November 6th , the day mike found me in the woods, and helped me escape the bad men. I was so scared that night. He saved me. I love him. But i think he doesn't love me. Nancy explained love to me because i wasn't sure what it ment.

I pull the sheets off to go find Mike, i look around the basement. He isn't there. I go upstairs only to find him sitting at the breakfast table with two plates set out before him.

Mikes POV

I thought i would make her something for breakfast, something special. I quickly grab the eggos out of the toaster as i set out two plates on the table.i get the syrup and hazelnut spread and lay it out on the table. I sit down and wait for El to come downstairs. After 2 minutes of waiting and thinking how i should confess my love to El, i see her pacing her way down the croaking stairs.
Her eyes light up as she sees the display on the table. She quickly sits down. She looks at me as if to ask me "where are the Eggos?"
I quickly stand up grabbing the tray full of eggos and placing them gently on the table. "Happy Birthday El!" I say loudly, giving her a friendly hug. "Birthday?" El asks puzzled. "Oh, a birthday is when someone gets older, but in your case its kind of like a birthday for the day we first met." I explain to her. "Oh, well happy birthday to me!" She says happily.  I let out a small giggle, as im smiling at her.

El POV

Mike has made me eggos today, but more than ususal. After he has explained to me what b-birthday i think is i start chomping down on my first eggo. It has this weird but delicious h-hazelnut spread i think thats what mike said on it. Its splendid, as i take more bites, mouthful after mouthful after about one minute i finished all four of the delicious treats.

Mikes POV

El has just finished all of her eggos and she looked like she enjoyed it. I love how she can eat eggos in a matter of seconds. Now is the perfect tome to tell her how i feel. Without a second thought i say this "Eleven i love you" i say looking into her eyes "you love me?" She says "yeah, well its har-" i get cut of by Elevens lips connecting with mine i kiss back as i put my arm around her waist. We both pull away in sync "Nancy told me if someone loves you, you should kiss them" she said. For once i actually like my sister.

"I love you El"
"I love you too"
