I had arrived. The police had finally dropped me off. They left me in a small house, close to everything. I had a new house, look, name, and car. I had a new life. As my hand slowly drifted from my bag to unlock the hardened door two officers approached me. Each of them played it cool, not attracting any attention our way. One of them, the older one, slipped something into my bag, giving it a pulling weight. They walked off. With a click, the door had unlocked, the smell was like Easter mixed with Christmas and a pinch of a childs laughter. Who knew such a terrible accident for someone in my past could be a holiday for me?
