Chapter 4

Ethan's POV
Once she left, I was sitting at the skate ramps all alone. Thinking about everything. I felt like shit after everything she told me. Now I had to wait until she could trust me. I didn't want to make her feel like she could just tell me everything and trust me with all of her heart when she didn't even know me. I picked up my skateboard, and rode home. I threw myself on the bed and fell asleep. Thinking only about Maddy.
Maddy's POV
It's been 3 weeks since Ethan and I were at the skatepark together, and we've only gotten closer. I love talking to him. It was Friday, and we had a 5 day break ahead of us. To kick of 'break', I heard that a few people were throwing a party. I knew I wasn't going to go, because I usually have no interest in getting drunk and sweaty. I walked with Taylor to my next class when she brought up the party. She asked if I would go with her, but I said no. I didn't want to. But, she pleaded and whined until I said yes. I hate it when she does that. "The party starts at 10. I'll be at your house around 5 to get ready." Taylor said. "Do we really need 5 hours to get ready?" I questioned her. "Well duh. Ethan's going to be there. And I know he likes you. So you have to dress to impress." She smirked. I blushed a little because she said Ethan likes me. I bet she was just saying that only to make me want to go. I'm sure he doesn't even like me like that. We are just friends.

Ethan's POV
At school, I was talking to Maddy's friend, Taylor. She brought up this party that was happening tonight, and told me I should go. But I didn't want to. I wasn't in the mood. Until she said that Maddy was going to be there. Reluctantly, I said I would go. Taylor said to pick her and Maddy up and Maddy's house by 9:40. I agreed, and started thinking about what the night would bring.
Maddy's POV
I didn't have any party dresses, so Taylor and I went shopping. I picked this dress,

and Taylor picked out this one.

We finished our shopping, makeup, nails, and hair. I'm not going to lie, we looked amazing. I checked the clock and it was 9:30. "We should get going." I said to Taylor. "Hmmmm. Not yet." Taylor said giggling. Suddenly the door bell rang. I wasn't expecting anyone, but I ran downstairs and opened the door. To my surprise, it was Ethan. Standing in my doorway. He looked amazing.

"Ethan what are you doing here?" I asked him because I didn't expect him to be here. "Well, Taylor told me I was supposed to pick you two up." He said. I turned around to look at Taylor and smirked at her. I knew that she did this on purpose. "Fine. Let's go." I said brisk-fully.
Ethan's POV
Tonight was the night of party. I had to look good for Maddy, because I was still crushing on her. I was excited to see what she would wear tonight, because I knew it was going to be something good. The time was about 9:30, so I got into my car and drove to her house. When I got to her house, I drove up to an enormous house. I walked up the driveway to her front door, and rung the bell. About a minute later, the door open and there Maddy stood. She looked incredible. It made me think that I should've put a little more effort into my look. "Ethan what are you doing here?" She asked me very surprised. "Well Taylor told me to pick you up." I replied. Suddenly Taylor and Maddy exchanged a few looks, then Maddy turned around and said, "Fine. Let's go." We jumped into my car and drove off to the party. Once we arrived, you could hear the blasting music and the flashing lights from outside the house. 'It's going to be an interesting night.' I thought to myself. I got out of the car with Maddy and Taylor and walked up to the front door. I really hope tonight goes well.
