"Wake up, lazy ass!"
Her soft hair was covering her full face from being seen by her mother, enough to hide her irritation by being woken up in the middle of her good sleep.
"Mom, I'm enjoying my sleep..."
"But didn't you told me that you have a reunion for tomorrow, and that you needed to pack your things?"
Her eyes shots wide open, grabbing her alarm clock before yelling. "I'm already late, I needed to rush!" She hissed, grabbing her empty bag that was lying already on the floor for preparation while running to her closet. "I didn't raise you to be like that, Park Sooyoung. Aigoo." Her mother hissed, "I also read your friend's message.", "Who?" She was rambling on her closet, as her mother replied.
"Wendy-ssi."
"What did she told you?"
"Sungjae is coming as well."
She felt her whole world crumble in a split second, turning around to her mother with a horrid expression, mumbling. "Sung...jae?" She saw her mom's sly expression, muttering. "Yes, your very first ex-boyfriend."
She blinked continuously, muttering. "You must've been mistaken, he's already in America. How can he come along our reunion?" She walks towards her phone, checking her messages until she realized that her mother was telling the accurate message.
Frozen, Sooyoung can only crawl back into her bed, hiding into the sheets. "What are you doing?" She heard her mom snicker. "I felt sick, I think I can't go."
"And then you kept on telling me that you were over him."
"I am." She rustled on the bed, her heart still couldn't avoid beating rapidly.
"Aigoo, my daughter. If you're already over, you wouldn't mind it around him." Her mom snatches the blanket away, seeing her tearful eyes. Smiling, she sat on the bed. "I didn't rose you to be a coward, eoh? If you want it over, you should face him." She pursed her lips out their direction, making Joy whimper. "I am over him."
"Do me a favor, and enjoy your vacation there if that's the case." Her mom pointed out, leaving a confused Joy. "Are you just pushing me over my ex?" She snarled to her mother, who was chuckling. "I'm sorry, you are so cute. I can't help but tease you a lot, but... will we start our morning with an emotional talk?"
Her mom lifted up the curtains, mumbling. "Ten years have passed. Isn't it already enough that the two of you should meet up casually again?"
Joy blinked a couple of times, sighing. "I can do it. I just think that I'm busy."
