Its first day back from winter break… I know, I know it’s not that long away from school but it still takes a couple days to get back into the swing of things. Also Lisa wants to catch up for lunch, because it’s been two weeks since we’ve seen each other – Lisa is my best friend (she is also studying to become a veterinarian like me) we have only known each other for about one year but we just sought of click – I smiled at the thought of my crazy, outgoing friend. We really wanted to be roommates but she’s in a different dorm…
I checked my new schedule to make sure that I was heading in the right direction for my first class. Biology. Its ok though it’s just a lecture so no work just yet. However the lecture was with Mr Rudd. Whoop whoop *note the sarcasm. He’s so boring and he just drones on and on in his lectures in the same plain, flat tone of voice, I mean I feel sorry for the guy because either my class mates turn up and fall asleep or they just don’t bother turning up at all. So you can imagine how surprised I was when I walked into the lecture room and it was full and buzzing with conversations between different students. Normally only half the class even bothered with coming to the lecture. However I just shrugged it off to being the first day back and trying to make a good impression. I went to find a seat and ended up almost in the middle of everyone. Just as I sat down the lecturer walked in and I looked up surprised so see it wasn’t Mr Rudd, but was actually an older woman. She was petite and had fair hair and skin, but her the wrinkles on her brow line gave away her age. Once people noticed her they started to hush down and quietly wait for the lecture to start.
“Well now, I know that this is your first day back from winter break and many of you have been away visiting family and the like, however we are back at school now and it is time to buckle down and study. So get out your pens and notepads and start writing,” she barked at us all.
The wave off shuffling as we all go out our notes was monstrously loud.
“We are now in business 1.02 for this year…”
I blanked out for a second and went bright red. I was in the wrong class room. I turned around to look at the door – oh-no! I was in room 106 and I needed to be in room 306. Damn it! Not only was I in the wrong classroom I was on the wrong side of the freaking campus! I’m so screwed. Shit.
I turned to the boy next to me and for the first time, noticed his appearance. He had a broad muscly chest and shoulders, big bulky biceps and as my eyes slowly traveled up his body I noted his full, pink (kissable) lips… which seemed to be slightly turned upwards in a smirk? Wait… What? Why would he be smirking during a lecture? My eyes looked up and locked on his. Oh my god… he saw my ogle at him! He was watching me, while I practically salivated over his body. My face changed colour from its normal paleness to a bight strawberry red. I tried to look away but his eyes seemed to hold me in place and I couldn’t turn my head away to break the staring match. Then he winked. I blinked and turned away immediately trying to remember myself and my predicament. I was in the wrong classroom, on the wrong side of campus. What will I do?
“Psst”…
I looked up at the sound.
“Like what you see?” He smirked down at me.
I frowned at his cockiness and decided that I didn’t really like him because of his attitude. “No, not really,” I replied simply and then looked away seemingly uninterested.
“Well you see… Your mouth says one thing but your eyes and body language say something totally different,” he snickered quietly.
“You know what? I think you’re the one who likes what they see, as you are the one harassing me. So maybe I’m not the one that’s interest-”
