Tayla

I dropped the spray can on the concrete ground and grabbed my black vans bag.

"Matthew" Matthew turned his head towards me. He understood when the sirens of a police car sounded. He ran over to the chain fence and started climbing. I followed him and jumped the fence. We climbed a ladder that lead to the top of a building and jumped from one building to another.

"HEY!" A policeman shouted causing us to turn around. "STOP RIGHT THERE!" I looked over the edge of the building and then at Matthew. He nodded.

We leaned back and fell down the building and into a very dark hole that had a trampoline net at the bottom. Through the small hole in the roof, I could see the police officer look over the edge, clueless as to where we are.

I climbed out of the cargo net and into our chill room to see Tyler talking to Hunter.

"Sup" I said and sat on the table by them.

"How'd it go?" Hunter asked looking at me.

"Just graffitied our logo and ran into some police." Matthew shrugged while sitting on the table by me.

"Anyway, we have a new recruit." Tyler said catching my attention.

"Name" I asked.

"Alex He's 16." Hunter said.

"Where is he now?" Matthew asked.

"Come on" Tyler led us out of the room. I pulled my hoodie over my face to a point where you couldn't see my nose. I walked into our interrogation room and leaned against a wall, behind all the boys who crowded around the Newbie. I nodded at Matthew to do the interrogation.

"Okay Alex, interrogation time" Matthew asked and stood in front of Alex who was sitting on a chair.

"Full name" Matthew asked.

"Alex Jonathan Smithers."

"How'd you find us?"

"I left the gang on Harron Street and they recommended you."

"Why should we accept you?" Alex thought for a good second.

"I have been expelled from 7 schools in 1 year. I'm wanted for theft. I hit someone with my car."

Matthew asked a few other questions until he reached the last one.

"Final Question. Will you betray us?"

"Only if you betray me" Alex smiled.

"Do you have any questions?"

Alex looked around the room at every boy.

"Who's the head?"Nobody answered him.

"She is the only girl in this group, and the Newbies never see her face until she trusts them, and her trust is hard to earn.." Matthew said.

"She's been here for 13 years." Luke said to Alex.

"And once you lose her trust, you never get it back." Caleb said glancing at me for a split second.

"Is she here? Right now?" Alex asked again.

Nobody answered him again.

"Yes she is" I said after nobody decided to talk. I walked to the middle of the circle, keeping my hoodie low so Alex couldn't see my face. He wouldn't be able to in this low lighting anyway.

"And everything they've said is true, but anyway." I paused for a moment.

"Welcome to the Mafia, Newbie" and with that I walked out of the room.
