Chapter 7: Train Ride

"So I guess this is good-bye then." Grace said smiling.

"Yes, thank you so much Grace for helping us out." Twilight said.

"Thank ya." Applejack said as she pasted Grace, following Twilight on the train.

"Thanks." Fluttershy whispered.

"I owe ya a free cupcake!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Thank you darling!" Rarity said.

"I owe you one!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Uh," Steve said, "thanks, for helping us out, we probably wouldn't have found a way back home if it weren't for you."

"It was no problem really. Just doing what was needed."

"Good-bye Grace." With that, the rest of the ponies piled in, leaving Grace and Red on the boarding deck. Grace waved good-bye as the train took off to Canterlot.

Natasha sat awkwardly on the train, her didn't like how she had to sit, so she kept shuffling around trying to find a way where it didn't look kinky.

Loki just sat with his legs wide apart.

(If you haven't noticed but Tom always always sits with his legs apart he tries so hard to not do it but he eventually does and it's adorable)

Tony was talking it up with Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash was talking with Thor.

Twilight, Clint, and Steve stared out the window, and Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity were talking with Bruce.

"So," Tony said to Pinkie, "are you sure that there's no alcohol here."

"Like I said before, never heard of alcohol."

"Dammit." Tony muttered. "You swear there isn't any?"

"I Pinkie Pie swear, Cross my heart, and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" She said, poking her hoof into her eye.

"Okay then."

"How long is this journey going to take us?" Thor asked.

"Oh, not that long," Twilight said, "we'll be there in an hour or so."

Thor nodded.

"So, you're a scientist? Just like Twilight!" Rarity said. "You two can talk about science together."

"I'm not the only one, Tony's a scientist as well. I only professionalize in Gamma Radiation. Tony specializes in mechanics."

"You both are scientists, that's all that matters." Rarity said.

"Science?" Twilight turned her head to Rarity. "I heard something about science."

"Oh, yes. Bruce and Tony are both scientists."

"Ooh what kind of science do you two specialize in?"

"I'm in Gamma Radiation and Tony's in mechanics."

"Ooh, interesting!"

The train was having a slight delay so instead they were on there for more than an hour.

"Where is the food?!" Thor asked.

"In the dining car. . ." Fluttershy whispered.

"Would you be so kind as to take me there?" Fluttershy nodded meekly and beckoned Thor forward as she made her way to the dining car. Loki started doing random magic tricks to occupy himself and Applejack, Natasha, and Clint watched.

Pinkie was listening to Tony, Bruce and Twilight's conversation about science.

Rainbow Dash and Rarity chatted with Steve seeing how he looked kinda lonely.

Fluttershy came back into the car at full speed.

"Uh, we-we have a tiny problem." She said.

"What is it?" Rainbow asked.

"Uh, Thor- he kinda ate all the food in the dining car and now he's arguing with the waiter about how there's no more food left and that he needs more."

"Oh great." Loki said. "Let me handle this." Loki pushed himself past Fluttershy. After a few moments Loki came back, pulling Thor by the ear with his magic. He dropped Thor to the ground.

"I simply do not understand how I am the little brother when you act more like a child than Stark." Loki said cooly, taking his seat back.

"Ain't that the truth." Tony said.

"It's 'isn't'. The least you could do is use proper grammar." Tony huffed.

"This is going to be one of the longest train rides ever." Fluttershy muttered.
