First day of high school, ugh what am I gonna do, what is everyone gonna think of me!?

Everyone is going to think I'm a creep, nobody will talk to me everyone will just flee I'm a blind 14 year old!!! I'm not going to make any friends I know it, who would want to be friends with a blind girl, more importantly who would wanna date a blind girl???

Everything is going to be okay, everything is going to be okay I told myself and pulled myself out of bed and yelled "grandma!" My grandma came rushing in and dressed me and brushed my hair and sent me off to school with my dog Stan. Stan dragged me all the way to the front of the school, I know we arrived because he started to bark. I let go of the leash and he ran home. I stood there for a second scared to walk in what if I bumped into somebody and they hurt me they don't know I'm blind, and I forgot my cane at home. I pulled my self together and walked in as soon at I opened the door I bumped into someone he knocked me down. He said "oh my gosh I'm so sorry I didn't see you there, I'm so sorry". I exclaimed "no it's my fault I am blind you know". He responded "your blind?? Oh my gosh". And he grabbed my hand and helped me up. He asked if I needed help getting to my first class and he told me his name it was tom, turned out we both had the same classes so we went together.

We became good friends and hung out everyday and I mean everyday! After people started to make fun of him for being friends with a blind girl. And I had random people come up to me and tell me he was really ugly and looked like a creep. But I didn't believe them he had an amazing personality so I figured he would have the looks to match. He ignored the people and still hung out with me everyday but he was different he tried not to be seen with me out in public he always wanted to stay home and never go out. I got really angry and stopped talking to him for a while....

Then a few weeks later tom came up to me and I could here him sobbing well he spoke and he said " oh I'm so sorry cherry, I Don't know why I cared what the others thought when I hung out with you, I...... Uhh need to tell you something". I exclaimed "what, what is it you can tell me anything". He whispered "I love you". In the softest voice imaginable. I said " well.... I uhh..... I..... Love you too". I went home that night imagining what he would look like what I look like I tried to think back to when I was 11 when I could see.

Then I started to remember how I lost my sight, I remember it like it was yesterday. My mom had told me to go with her to get some milk and on the way back a truck had crashed in to us and I didn't have my seat belt on so I went flying out the car door window and hit my head on a fire hydrant and the way I hit my head caused me to loose my sight. And my mom... Well she didn't make that's why I live with my grandma now.

The next day tom came over and told me that from the first moment he saw me he had a crush on me and how much he wishes I could see him. He then started researching ways on how to recover my eye sight. And he discovered that scientists just came out with special contacts that recover your vision when you wear them. It seemed to good to be true... It probably was.

My grandma then ordered these 'special contacts' and they came in a week later. Tom came over the second i told him I got them. He sat on my bed and watched as I put them on. AND as I suspected it was to good to be true i couldn't see anything but darkness. I started to cry, tom cuddled me and kissed my forehead. I fell asleep in his arms, when I woke up about an hour later I realized I could see I looked over at tom to see what he looked like........ He was...... Gorgeous he had dark brown hair he was tall and had bright blue eyes I couldn't believe it was tom! I yelled "tom I can see you!" Tom started to cry out of happiness and gave me a huge hug and wouldn't let me go.
