"Okay, now read mine!" I demanded to Alex, my best friend.

"Oh alright. You know these things aren't real." She bit out, rolling her blue eyes.

The glare I pierced her with was a good answer.

She took in a deep breath, readying herself for the paragraph, written on page 12, of Teen Vogue. "Leo, you will have great luck in romance. This month is your month to land that guy you've always seen, but never took action to. Keep your eyes open and he will fall right into your lap. If at first he doesn't seem interested, don't get discouraged! He will soon be finding himself growing with affection towards you!"

Alex drew in another quick breath and glanced up towards me. Her eyes searching my face for my response.

I smiled brightly and laughed. "I knew it! I had the feeling things are gonna happen for me! Oh, I'm so excited!" I gushed out, happiness oozing from my words.

Alex sat up straight and braced her hands on my shoulders, holding firm. "Mel, you can not be serious! This is just for fun, this can't be taken seriously!"

My happy eyes turned into sharp spears. "Yes I'm serious! You'll see, Alex. Just watch and see it happen!"

Alex groaned and leaned away, rubbing her temples. "You are crazy women."

I chuffed her and picked up the magazine. Holding it dearly while re-reading my horoscope.

I am not crazy....

•••

Tonight was the last night of a fun filled summer. Tomorrow would be the first day of hell. Like any typical Teenager I don't care for school. I enjoyed my time away from annoying people and worthless knowledge, I'd never use in the future.

I would miss this summer. From the time I found myself sleeping head deep in a toilet bowl—with a random tortilla chilling on the side with one bite taken—to the time I broke into our community pool. In which I succeeded and tried to go down the twisty slide. That only resulted in me getting some kind of slide burn, because the water wasn't running.

Not to mention, I may or may not of been nude...

So maybe alcohol wasn't something I was meant to consume, but I had a hell of a time doing it. At the time. The after math wasn't the nicest.

The only good thing about the summer ending was that I'd get to go back to school and see Marc Cross.

He would be my highlight and eye candy of the year. We all have that one crush on some guy for no reason. Besides the fact that he's hot, I have no other reason to liking him so much. I honestly think my hormones just want to go against me and make me obsess over some guy.

It's trying to bamboozle me...

And I'm already okay with it. I don't understand why I like him so much but that's okay. The only thing that drives me crazy is that I've never spoken one word to him ever.

Nor do I know how to do so. How do I even approach someone so hot?

I can do so much crazy shit, as you can see from earlier, but I can't even say a simple hello. I am a fine example of awkward when I'm around guys.
