Just another boring day. The monochrome world around me bland as I watch couples walk along in their colorful worlds. I wonder what it's like; to live in a colorful world, sharing it with the one you love. But one fateful day...well you return to black and white, as is the law of our universe. Quite a sad concept if you ask me, but then again, its not as if I'd know anything about love; anything about color.

I turn back to my computer screen, scrolling down through my feed, bored. Something tagged under "art" catches my eye. So bland, so boring, so unnoticeable, just like everything else in this world. But for some reason, it was different. So many swirls and shades, as if they had manipulated the screen themselves...but how? I looked down at the description.

'I had always heard of art, but never really understood the point...the beauty of it until now. So many black and gray swirls and stripes, but now a collage of colors. I can finally see the rainbow!'

"Tch." I 'x' out of the tab and turn off my computer. Sighing, I get up and get dressed. Its not like there's anything at home to do.

Walking down the stairs of the apartment building, my arm briefly brushes against someone's. I turn to say sorry, but a flower in the corner grabbed my attention. The flower had always been there, but now it looked...different. The coloring on it wasn't the same; there wasn't a trace of black or white or gray, but it wasn't invisible...Is this color? 'No way...' I turn to find the guy that I had bumped into, but he was nowhere to be seen. I sigh, and continue on my way, head spinning. I turn back to look at the flower, and the weird shading was still there. I stop and turn around fully, slowly approaching the flower. It was my favorite kind, I heard they're called bluebells. Crouching down, I gently touched one of the petals. So soft and smooth. Entranced by the new petals, little did I know that that same man was standing behind the stairs, watching me play with the flower, because he had seen it too.
