Maya's POV

I looked back and forth between Budo and Ayano. He was worried. I could see it in his eyes. But Ayano wasn't looking at him. She was looking right at me, with that dead look in her eyes. I shivered. It was like she was looking right into my soul, examining, calculating. Gone was the cheerful looking girl who would always smile and wave. In her place was instead a person who looked like they never knew.... true happiness.

I looked over at Budo to still find him worrying about her. My heart clenched. Finally she looked over at him, and seemed to have returned to her cheerful self because she finally waved at me. Was this what they called.... a personality disorder?! Was she sometimes happy and cheerful and sometimes dead and calculating?!

That must be why Budo is worrying right?! Unless he.... and her.... naw no why, right? They're not a thing right? Or maybe he doesn't know she has a personality disorder.

I watched as Budo asked her if she wanted to come get some food with us. It was supposed to just be the two of us.... But I shook off the thought and smiled. "Yeah, Yan-Chan! Let's go get some food together!" She smiled. "Mmm yeah sure let's go." I turned around, leading the way. But while I was walking ahead, I could still feel her cold stare looking at my back. I must be imagining it....

Ayano's POV

What was I doing? There's no way I could fall for Budo. It has always been Taro-Senpai. It will always be Taro-Senpai. I'll think about I once I get home. And while I don't know who my heart belongs to anymore, I do know that I need to eliminate Megami and Maya. That's the one thought that's clear that I have no regrets about.

I followed Budo and Maya into a restaurant. Looking at all the food, my mouth began to water. You can't exactly blame me, right? I mean compared to all the instant food I eat nowadays and how hungry I am right now, this place smelled like heaven. Then again my standards are pretty low now....

I shook my head to save myself from thinking too much about it. Right now I should just focus on eating. Then I realized I only brought $15.00 with me. Okay, then I should just pick a big dish that's $15.00 or less. Ah, but I really want desert....

No! We're short on cash!

Maybe just this once....

Then what? We'll regret this. And it'll probably end up like last time! Where we ate $25 dollars worth of sweets and then brought another $25 dollars worth of sweets home when we couldn't eat anymore.

Ah~ but it's been so long since we had the joy of macaroons, or ice cream, or tarts, or slices of pie, or....

And I was talking to the two sides in me again.... Oh! Maybe I'll get a $10.00 dish and then $5.00 worth of deserts. Yeah.

Budo's POV

We got seated at a table, and I sat next to Maya. I was about to ask Ayano what she wanted, but then I noticed how deep in thought she was and the dangerous expression on her face. I closed my opened mouth. What could she possibly be thinking? How to kill more people? As I looked up again, her expression changed drastically. Her eyes sparkled and she gave a nod of satisfaction. I couldn't tell whether I should be worried or not.

"Hey, Yan-Chan!" Maya said next to me. What are you going to order? "One of the rice plates I guess," she replied. "And...." She looked confused for a second, the sparkles in her eyes gone. She looked conflicted. "What's wrong?" I asked. "....I" She started. I waited, holding my breath. What was she going to say? "I don't know what desert to get!" she blurted out.

Oh. So that was it.

"I heard they had great pear tarts here!" Maya exclaimed. "Maybe you should try one of those!" Ayano nodded. "Pear tart it is then," she said. As we got our food and ate, I kept noticing her stealing glances at Maya. Her eyes were always icy cold whenever she did it, except when Maya would also look up and meet her eyes. And when she and Maya make eye contact, only then would she switch her eyes back to the very convincing, fake warmth. She couldn't possibly be thinking of ways to eliminate Maya, right? I mean she doesn't like her Senpai. Maybe I should tell her it was Maya who wrote that love note to me.... maybe that will save her life?

As Maya and I finished our food first and were waiting for Ayano to finish eating, Maya said, "Hey Budo, let's pay first while we wait for Yan-Chan, kay?" I was about to object and ask her why we couldn't have just waited for Ayano to finish eating and then all pay together, but the look in her eyes told me that she had something important to say. "Um, sure," I said as I followed Maya to the front of the cashier. We paid our share of the food, and then Maya pulled me outside to behind the building.

"Budo..." she started. What is she going to say? Is she going to comment about how suspicious Ayano has been, about how she figured out that Ayano is a dangerous person? "I think Yan-Chan has a personalty disorder!" she said. My mind froze. What? She thought that Ayano had a personality disorder but never assumed that she might be faking her emotions? This. Is hilarious.

Ayano's POV

Those two left me! What is Maya going to say to Budo? I have to find out. I quickly ate my pear tart, slightly sad that I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wished I did, and then payed for my food before heading out. I heard Maya's and Budo's footsteps and quickly pinpoint it to the back of the building, before hiding behind a wall and listening to their conversation.

"Budo... I think Yan-Chan has a personality disorder!" said Maya. What. In. The. Fuck.
