Lynxkit stared out of the nursery and watched all of his siblings.
He wished he could feel more optimistic about becoming an apprentice like his brother and sisters. He kept asking himself how he was going to become a Medicine cat if he had no mentor to learn from.
Lynxkit yowled with shock as something crashed into him. He lost his balance and fell over, the young cat huffed and stood up in a hurry.
"Will you stop?"
He asked the little kit who had ran into him. Tigerkit stuck her tongue out and said, "Lynxkit, your no fun at all!"
He glared at Mothflutter's kit. "Yay? You know I really don't care, right?"
Tigerkit rolled her eyes, "Why are you so grumpy now? You used to be cool!" Lynxkit turned away from Tigerkit and simply ignored her. Or tried to, "I'm not going away. My siblings are all stupid and I'm afraid if I hang out with them I'll catch it."
Lynxkit scoffed, "Stupidity isn't a disease Tigerkit. It's more of a trend, everyone likes to act stupid now days." Tigerkit laughed, "See that's why I favor you Lynxkit! We have the same sense of humor I guess." Lynxkit smirked, "we're both sarcastic." Tigerkit smirked back, "Really? I haven't noticed."
Lynxkits heartbeat quickened as his mother, Twitchflame came walking towards him. "It's time! And for Starclans sake, smile for me at this ceremony!" Lynxkit sighed and nodded, "I can't promise a thing."
Twitchflame stared at Lynxkit and he started to feel uneasy. "Fine, I'll smile, just please don't look at me like that. I hate it!" A familiar voice sounded behind him, "You hate nearly everything! Except for me, but who could hate me?"
Hollykit said merely. Copperkit came running towards her, "I hate you!" Lynxkit shook his head, "I can't wait for you and Copperkit to be a thing. You already fight like your mates." Copperkit gagged, "Ew! She's too opinionated for me."
Hollykit glared at him, "Do you even know what opinionated means Copperkit?" Copperkit returned Hollykits icy gaze, "Of course!" Twitchflame sighed, visibly tired of Copperkit and Hollykit's bickering.
Lynxkit sighed as he watched Copperkit and Doekit became 'paws. And then soon, it was Hollykits turn. Lynxkit watched her as she stepped forward.
Strikestar was meowing, "Until you become a warrior, you shall be known as Hollypaw. May Starclan light your path to becoming a warrior. You mentor shall be Sneezetail! Sneezetail, you had an excellent mentor in Sunpatch and i hope you will teach everything you know to her."
Sneezetail smiled, "Thank you!" Lynxkit took a deep breath, knowing he was next. Strikestar yowled, "Lynxkit step forward." Lynxkit stood up on shaky paws. "From this moment until you receive your full medicine cat name, you will be known as Lynxpaw. Since Windclan doesn't have a Medicine cat, me and Lizardstar of Shadowclan have agreed on sending you to Shadowclan to train, until you are ready. Lizardstar will come tonight to get you."
Lynxpaws jaw dropped, "Wait what?" He felt sick.
Lynxpaw glared at Lizardstar and a gray and black dappled cat, who was for some reason with the Shadowclan leader. Lizardstar and Strikestar were discussing something, probably something stupid.
Lynxpaw groaned as Lizardstars companion waltzed over to Lynxpaw, the cats blue eyes shimmering. "Hello there Lynxpaw! Their talking about you and I got bored- it was all good things! Anyway, Fallenpaw of Shadowclan, future leader actually, at your service! I will be your guide when we get to Shadowclan! You seem thrilled, I would be too if I were you!"
Lynxpaw hardly blinked, he was too afraid that if he did he'd fall asleep listening to this obnoxious cat. "What makes you think your going to be 'future leader'?" Lynxpaw questioned.
