Prologue

The door opens and all sound fades into dangerous silence. He takes a deep, steady breath, the moisture fogs up the glass.

He can hardly see himself anymore.

Their footsteps echo as the other members leave the room. G.O. wordlessly pats Seung Ho's back before he leaves. A few words are exchanged before the door is closed, effectively isolating Seung Ho and the young woman from the rest of the world. Seung Ho becomes tense. His muscles stiffen, the knuckles of his hands whiten. 

"Hey."

Her voice is soft and quiet. He doesn't look at her when he responds in kind.

She stands at the door, her eyes locked to the floor. She doesn't see him not look, and he doesn't see her entirely. They stay in that awkward silence for a long time, their head filled to the brim with memories of days past and their premonition for the future.

The air is heavy with the faint scent of irises.
