Ashes was always very distant as a child, so lets skip to when her whole pack was slaughtered.. (Ashes mom is the picture)

Ashes was laying in the den one day when she heard screaming.. Her mother came running in and tried to grab her and her two other siblings. "Ashton get Ashes and Serentity out of here Now please!" She begged the oldest son while she quickly turned around and protected the den from something.. Or someone...

Ashton imidiently grabbed Serenity and since Serentity was the youngest Ashes walked instead. As They all ran out from the den something bit onto Ashes tail, causing her to yelp out. Ashton turned away quickly and saw a massive black wolf (look up The Death Alpha from WolfSong.) With dark red markings and scars over his back. "Ashes!" He called out protectively, but Ashes growled. "Get Serenity to safety!" She hissed. Then when Ashton turned around and began to ran with his tail between his legs going as Fast as his little legs could take him, Ashes screamed. The wolf had tore a bit of her tail off and also when she tried running he bit onto her ear only holding her by the tip. She whined loudly as he threw his head from side to side until he lost grip of her and she went flying at a tree. "S-Stop please! Why are you doing this!?" She cried out. "Where.. Is.. The.. Book.." He snarled out blood dripping from his maw.
