This would be my first short story on Wattpad. This story came out of my head last night and I want to share it with you guys! I couldn’t sleep well, would you like to know why? . . . . . .
"Regrets"
I've met her 6 years ago. We've been in a relationship for almost 5 years now. Our 5th anniversary will be on Saturday, 3 days from now. Isn't it great ? I'm going to ask her to marry me! I knew it, she was the one for me. Eleena was my everything. Eleena was the woman who I want to spend my life with. I'm 26 years old and she's 25. We're at the right age to get married. It's going to be awesome, definitely.
This last month, we've barely talked. She's so busy and I miss her. It's 10:00 in the morning, maybe it’s a good day to ask her to go have lunch with me. I reached for the Cellphone above the lamp table beside my bed. I dialed her number and waited for her to answer.
"Hello? Dean?" She answered.
"Hi Eleena. What's up?"
"The Ceiling, seriously! Can I tell you something good?"
"Haha, sure! What is it?"
"I MISS YOU!" She shouted.
"That's really good." Obviously, I really miss her more. I just can’t say it directly.
"Uhmm .. yeah"
"So you wanna have lunch with me ?" I asked, i hoped she will.
"I'm sorry Dean, I have plans with my friends. Today, tomorrow, and the next day. I'll be spending the whole week with you. I hope .. you're not forgetting something ?"
"Friends?" You're spending time with them first? Why not me first? "Sure. And yes, our anniversary. I'll meet you at the park."
"It's the place we first met! I'll see you on Saturday. I love you, Dean."
"See you Eleena. Bye!" Did I just forgot to say i love her too ?
"Err.. bye."
" I - " Before i could return my reply, the line was cut. I felt guilty for that but Saturday is going to be our best day ever. The days passed and I asked my boss to give me a one week vacation. He did, because I told him I'm going to propose to the woman I loved.
Saturday came and I was so excited. I waited for her at the Bench where she sat, the day I met her. It was a beautiful day. A Beautiful woman walked towards me, she had a long, black and wavy hair. Her brown eyes sparkled through the sunlight. It was Eleena. I stood up as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Happy 5th Anniversary, Dean" She smiled and kissed my cheek.
"Happy Anniversary, Eleena." I kissed her on her forehead. We've never kissed each other's lips. Eleena wanted to give her first kiss to the man she'll be spending her lifetime with. Hopefully, it’ll be me. She took a camera from her bag. She was camera shy and would refuse to have a picture with me. It's surprising. I draped my arm over her while her slender arms was wrapped around my waist. We took a picture. Finally, It was our first picture together. It’s really weird for a couple that has been together for five years to have their first photo! Especially on their 5th anniversary. She had a beautiful smile on her face. I can say it was the most beautiful smile she gave.
We've spent the whole day together. We knew we were enjoying each other's company. Time passed by and it was night time. I took her to the Rooftop at the hotel I was working at. My boss prepared a candle light dinner for us. It was really romantic. We had our food. The Night was beautiful. It was time, the time that I’ll propose for marriage. I stood in front of her and gave her 3 red rosed. I can see that she’s surprised. I kneeled as I took out a small box with a ring inside and opened it. I smiled and looked up to her.
