How many links would you have,
How heavy would the weight of it be,
If each thought that brought you down,
Each comment that pulled you to your knees
Broke the transparency that hid them from view,
To reveal the noose and chains they are.
What if each unspoken lie you told your heart
Showed as the unbreaking bars of a cell that they areThat keeps your confinement in solitude.
