Looking slightly downwards, I saw our hands intertwined from last night and I couldn't help but smile.

"What are you smiling at?"

A husky deep voice escapes from taehyung as he slowly opened his eyes, holding direct eye contact with me. Before I could answer, taehyung releases his grip on my hand only to hug me fully, with his legs crossed over and under me, like a cat with a fish in its grip.

"Let me sleep a while more, okay?" Taehyung uttered softly with his eyes closed, head buried in my hair.

Unable to fall back asleep, I continued to marvel at the great specimen in front of me, using my fingers to play with his soft hair. After forming various weird shapes with his hair, to which taehyung had no response to, I inched towards his ears and whispered for him to wake up.

"Wake up, sleepyhead." ...That had barely any response.

Deciding to take a step further, I started to blow air into taehyung's ear. Every puff of air made taehyung shiver and stir, which was interesting and quite funny to me. My puffs of air got longer and louder till...I felt taehyung's hands snake to the sides of my hips and "COMMENCE TICKLE ATTACK!"

Immediately, I started to twist my body to dodge his attacks but to no avail. "AHHHHHHHHH! STOP! HAHAHAHAHA!" I shouted while laughing as I tried to push taehyung away with my hands while his fingers continued their brutal advances.

"OKAY, I SURRENDER, WHITE FLAG, MAYDAY", sprouting all the adjectives off the top of my head in order to get taehyung to stop.

"Ok, I'll stop. On one condition." Taehyung said with a devious look on his face and a sinister smile.

"Huh? What is it?"

Realising that somehow, taehyung was now perched on top of me, with hands pressing down on both sides of the bed, his face directly above mine was enough to wire my brain into a frenzy with all those drama love scenes tingling my senses.

"Let's go grocery shopping and let me buy whatever I want," Taehyung said, still smiling.

"Oh, what? That's all? Alright." I spewed distastefully, looking away from taehyung, my fantasy bubble clearly popping.

"What were you hoping for? A morning kiss?" Taehyung teased as he lifted himself off the bed easily and ambled into the bathroom.

"Was it that obvious?" I answered, my face instantly blushing. Welp, the cat was long out of the bag, no need to hide my feelings anymore.

I followed taehyung into the bathroom and we took turns to brush our teeth and wash our faces.

After breakfast, which was "graciously" made by taehyung, as quoted from him, we made our way to the nearest supermarket.

"Hey taehyung, what do you wanna eat for lunch and dinner later?" I asked as my eyes scanned the vegetable section for the best deal.

"Heyyyyyy, taehyung?" I asked again. Should I get cabbage or lettuce?  Should we eat hotpot?

Feeling slightly irritated, I spun around whilst holding vegetables in both hands, only to find taehyung in a conversation with several ahjummas several metres away.

Placing the veggies into our cart, I stalked towards taehyung with only one motive in mind.

"Oppa! Let's go, we still have a movie to catch. Oh! Ahjumma, sorry, we gotta go now. Have a nice day!" I chirped in a fake cheery voice and peeled taehyung away from their grips.

Intertwining my fingers with taehyung's, we walked towards our shopping cart.

"What's this?" Taehyung asked, lifting our intertwined hands.

"It's so you won't be abducted again," I said while poofing my cheeks, refusing to look directly at taehyung.

"Looks like someone is jealous of ahjummas," taehyung said, poking fun at me while strongly returning the grip.

A chill went through my body that split second which felt sinful yet addictive. Clearly, my body was reacting to him, but, I didn't reveal it to taehyung, it would be too easy of a success for him.

"Oh yea, the ahjummas did say that spicy tofu stew was easy to make. And it's getting cold quick these days too." Taehyung suggested, already eyeing necessary ingredients.

As we completed our shopping trip without further mishaps, we slowly walked back home slowly while debating on who was more handsome, Gong Yoo or Lee Dong Wook.

After setting up the table with ingredients for the stew,(we settled lunch with ramyeon) along with the pot and the portable stove, I pulled a chair over and sat down. Reaching for the remote, I turned the TV on and flicked through the channels. A certain news report caught my eye.

"...a man in his late forties was found dead in his apartment located at Mapo-gu, Mangwon-2-dong. Police suspect that he was stabbed and left to bleed out, with the murderer still at large-"

The news channel was changed to a variety show all of a sudden, muting the newscaster's voice and replacing it with the chatter of the variety show. I turned my head to see taehyung holding the remote, expressionless, eyes dull without spirit.

"That channel was boring," was all the explanation given.

Suspicion aroused as I tried to read taehyung's mind over dinner. Having failed that, I decided not to worry too much and enjoy my once-in-two-months stew. (being a student wasn't cheap) Other than small talk over dinner, we didn't have much of a conversation as we both proceeded to fiddle with our phones and in typical fashion, be anti-social.

Deciding not to waste time, I continued my work on taehyung, with him barely co-operating. As expected, I too, couldn't concentrate on the task at hand and made up my mind to call it a day, heading to bed first.

Slipping under the duvet, my mind flickered back to the news report seen earlier. I couldn't help but think wild,  foreboding creeping up my neck, connecting dot to dot.

It can't be. Taehyung isn't that sort of person. I know him, I believe him.

As I brainwashed myself for thinking ill of taehyung, a figure walked into the bedroom and sat quietly at the corner of the bed.

"WheeIn, I have something I have to tell you." Taehyung's voice quivered slightly and his body trembling slightly, almost non-visible.

"Yea?" I lifted myself upright and tilted my body slightly to be directly facing taehyung's back.

A long pause enveloped the room and the atmosphere thickened, almost like an invisible force pushing down on the whole room, or just my heart. Seconds turned into minutes, prolonging the dreadfulness as my suspicions became stronger and fiercer. Please, taehyung, say something, say its all a joke.  I willed myself to continue believing, desperately giving an excuse for the deafening silence.

Taehyung finally broke the silence with one sentence I wished I never heard.

"I .........killed someone."
