Immediately you could smell the smoke and alcohol lingering in the air, and with how we like to party, grabbed a couple drinks. The trick is though; we never drank them or at least not a lot. We just let everyone think we were. It was a trick we learned back in freshman year of high school. To think we are seniors now, we’ve come a long way.

Throughout the night, people got more drunk, danced well dirtier, and eventually got to where our tired feet got us, in a spare room playing dare or Dare with a vodka bottle. First the bottle landed on two people I didn’t personally know, and their dare was for the guy to give the girl a lap dance. Later it ended on Max and Reese, and being the she devils we are, we dared them to kiss. Finally in their drunken stupor, they did, a cute peck on the lips, but I got a photo of it. They were going to regret that in the morning.

At one point during the night the bottle landed on Emma and me. Emma and me were laughing at this once in a lifetime opportunity, and after arguing for a good while, they came up with their bet: Emma and I had to kiss.

“Awe, Maxie, if you really wanted us to kiss you could’ve just said so,” I taunted.

“Yeah, only we’re not gonna be wusses like you guys,” Ems chimed in. I handed my phone to Max.

“You might wanna get some pictures. This might not happen again.”

“Plus it’s gonna be hot,” Ems said.

We both smirked at each other. Both of us were confident in being straight and we knew each other for a long time, so for us, this was only an easy dare. I wrapped my arms around Ems’ neck as she wrapped hers around my waist, leaning in to kiss me. I pulled back slightly before gently biting her bottom lip. From there we both made out, using a few tricks we knew that would make it look hotter than it actually was. We didn’t even use tongue or anything. That would be gross. I may love the girl but I don’t want her slobber in my mouth. As quick as it started it ended, and we both glanced around, smirking at the tents which had formed in the guys’ pants. Some of the girls even looked like they were turned on.

Swiftly, I stood up and snatched my phone from Max’s hands. As I thought, it was the only one out. To my surprise he had even taken a video of it. I smirked at him before showing Emma. She laughed.

“Well then, I believe we shall take our leave then. Until next time!” I said, hopping out of the circle. Emma followed suit after kissing Reese.

The moment we were out of the house and started back down the road to my place, we busted out laughing.

“That really turned them on didn’t it?” Emma said between laughs.

“I think so. I don’t think Max will be able to look me in the eye for a week!”

“Good. That boy really needs to learn to stay off my woman!” There was another fit of laughter before a noise caught both of our attention, causing us to walk faster. One look at each other and we both knew we heard the same thing through the code we had: blink twice fast if something weird.

We stepped up our pace, being sure to stay in the light of the street lamps. Well, that was until a tall shadowed figure stood directly under the next one ahead of us. Nonchalantly, we both acted like that was our house across the street and went to cross the road. To our misfortunate luck, a black van decided it was time to pull up then. At the speed it was going, I thought for sure it wasn’t going to stop. Then again we never got to see if it did.

From behind rags clasped around our mouth and nose, another arm yanked me back against a hard chest, knocking the wind out of me. It was that involuntary gasp that forced me to inhale the weird smell, and it was barely a moment later my mind and body succumbed to the unwelcome darkness.
