Jules' POV
I woke up at 5 in the morning to go to church. Today was the first day of freshmen year. I was nervous. High school was the place where all the parties were and yet I can't go or drink or smoke or even say a bad word. That's just the perks of being Mormon.
I get ready to leave with my Mom and brother, Jack, who was a junior at Encinal High School. We hopped into the car and headed to church. At church I sat next to my bestfriend Lindsey who also is going to be a freshmen at Encinal.
*church ends*
Lindsey and I rode in Jack's car to school. We were both so scared when we pulled up to the huge school ahead of us. All we could see were the storms of people going into the main building. Lindsey and I luckily had first period together: English with Mr. Lee.
When we walked into the class room all we saw were kids having fun, throwing things across the room and then something hit me...
"Uh, sorry bout' that." A boy wearing a bandana said to me.
"Heh, it's fine." And I threw the wad of paper back at him. My mind kept on focusing on him. Everything that kid did, caught my attention. In that moment I thought I was in love, but there's no such thing as love at first sight, right? He was just so graceful... and cute. At that moment, I knew my cheeks were flushing red. Stop Jules. Stop. Then I snapped back to reality because of Lindsey. She was laughing, but I wasn't sure at what.
I turned to look at Lindsey who was literally about to roll on the floor when the bandana boy hit the teacher in the face. I too started to laugh until the teacher screamed at us to take our seats. I sat at a table in the front of the room next to Lindsey and the bandana boy. I can't keep calling him the bandana boy, I have to find out his name somehow.
I am not sure if I am excited or well scared to be here. Everyone so far seemed really nice even though I still haven't learned their names. The only person I know in this class is Lindsey and well she seems really distracted by some boy who had the biggest hazel eyes and a brown quiff. I have to admit he was pretty cute, but I can't be concerned about his looks. I am here to learn and not flirt with boys who I will have absolutely no chance with.
I can't deny that I wasn't excited that bandana boy sat down at our table. I was also really surprised because well he seemed the like king bee and we're just two shy girls. But I can't complain.
As class started Mr. Lee started to call role and then I would finally know his name. He was calling down the list and I heard bandana boy answer to Taylor Caniff. Taylor Caniff that did suit him I guess. When he finally got to my name his head shot up when I said, "here".
"Jules. I have never met a Jules before." he said smiling.
God his smile was just perfect.
"And you are Taylor. I honestly have never met a Taylor before." I said truthfully. I can't lie, that is a sin. When I said this his mouth literally dropped to the ground.
"Ok wow. You must not know many people. But you are correct I am The fabulous one and only Taylor Caniff." He said with a cocky grin.
Well now I knew how he carried himself, loud and proud. I really liked that. And I didn't just like that I liked him.
But I can't like him. Well I can like him but I can never be anything than just a friend to him. But I just met him and I can't think that like already.
