Jess's POV
I fluttered my eyes a couple times and stared at my ceiling, it was finally Saturday.. I was Turing 17 today. After that thought I shot up out of bed and ran to the bathroom to look in the mirror. I stared with hatred for a couple seconds, my hair out of place and knotted curled out in every direction. so I grabbed a brush and started raking through it, after I won the battle of getting the brush through the knots, I took out my curler. my hair was already naturally curly but it wasn't too good looking if I didn't touch it up a bit. Then I felt a little better looking at my self I'm the mirror. I have long light brown curly hair that reaches down to my mid back that I love, but I have boring eyes, they are light blue with a little yellow in the middle. everyone else has prettier eyes than me and I envy them...
I looked down at my wrinkled pajamas and quickly ran to my mini walk in closet, it was pretty hot outside so I decided to wear jean shorts with a slight rip in them, and a American flag tee shirt that I cut the sleeves off of, and my dark blue worn out vans.
After that I scurried back to the bathroom and caked on some eye liner and mascara with a little light pink lip gloss. Then I walked over to the kitchen and poured my self a bowl of fruity pebbles. It gets kinda lonely sometimes living alone. my parents both died in a car crash about a year ago now, just thinking of it brought me to tears. this was basically every morning.
Halfway through my cereal my phone went off. So I shoved another bite of cereal in my mouth and took my phone out of my pocket.
FROM: Ally
Hey jess happy birthday!!
I smiled at the text and sent a message back
TO: Ally
Thanks! Your the first person to wish me happy birthday!!
FROM: Ally
Aren't I always? 💁 Anyways I have a surprise for yah!!
TO: Ally
Oh really? Tell me!!!
FROM : Ally
I'll tell you when I get to your apartment!
TO: Ally
Awww! I can't wait that long!!!
FROM: Ally
Yeah you can open up I'm right outside your door!
I laughed and walked towards the door and opened it. Ally stood there with the biggest grin on her face with two pieces of paper in her left hand.
"What's that?" I asked
"It's..... wait for it...... ONE DIRECTION TICKETS!!!!" she screamed
I'm not really into boy bands but I love their music so I just fake smiled and jumped up and down with her.
"Omg thank you so much!! when's the concert?" I managed to say while jumping
"TONIGHT!!" She screamed again
I wasn't that excited at first but she made such a big deal out of it that it kinda made me excited.
"Now come on! We are going to the mall!!" She said in a bossy way
"But I already have an outfit!" I whined
"I know this but your getting a NEW outfit!!" She pleaded
"Fine I'll go." I gave in
"Yasssss!!" she screamed while hugging me
We rushed out the door and walked to the elevator to the lobby. It got quiet for a second and I looked over to Ally pressing the elevator button over and over. I sighed
"Ally you do know that if you keep pressing it like that it's not gonna get here any faster." I teased
"Oh right haha!" she said embarrassed.
Soon enough the elevator doors opened and we walked in. I took out my phone and looked at the time.. it was already 3 ! I must have woken Up late then...
" Hey Ally you never told me what the actual time the concert is."
"It starts at six" she mumbled in the middle of texting her mom
Damn we have three hours to shop... That's not a lot of time for Ally to pick something... I laughed to myself but only to look over and see a confused look on her face.
The doors oped after what seemed like hours and we ran to the car. Ally slid across the hood of the car like they do in the action movies. I laughed and got into the passenger seat.

We arrived at the mall and Ally raced to the entrance of course, luckily I was able to catch up to her. We walked around for about an hour until we decided where to go. we walked in forever 21 and I rummaged through the sale rack since I didn't have much money on me. ale had already picked out something , which I was really surprised at. she picked out a casual light yellow summer dress with black flats. I just wish I picked that out before her... I continued going through until I found some pre ripped light blue jeans and a floral white see through top, with a white tank top under it of course! With the outfit I picked out some brown cowboy boots. it was perfect.
After complimenting each other on our picks we made our way to the cash register. Ally's came out to be $68.30 she could easily pay that because she has an actual job unlike me. I can barely keep up with rent. I rung mine up and awaited the total. it came out to be $70 exactly. Shit I thought to myself. I only have 65 bucks on me. Ally barged in and gave me the right amount I needed.
"Ally!" I yelled
"What?" she said innocently
"Don't pay for my crap I feel like a poor person when you do that!!" I laughed
"Yeah but it makes me feel like I'm helping the poor!" she laughed
"Good one haha." I said sarcastically
I looked at my phone again like I always do and saw that it was 5 :00
"Hey we got an hour to kill until the concert, wanna go to my place and get ready?" I asked
"Hell yeah!!" She screamed in the middle of the mall
"That's why I love you ally!" I remarked
