(I wrote this as if I was writing from Zach's side and not Belle's)

Zach watched her softly as Belle made her way to him. She was nothing like the other girls he had been around he could tell that the moment she spoke. Belle's outfit was more for comfort than for looks. It showed what Zach's sister Breanna would call fashion but also the personality of the person. Zach was the youngest in his family. He smiled softly as he looked Belle over again as she got closer.

Ginger, shoulder-length hair gently hangs over her small frame. Squinting grey eyes, set charmingly in their sockets. Fair skin seductively compliments her hair and leaves an intriguing memory of her. There's something mystifying about her to him, maybe that is why her skin glowed so, it was her inner beauty that lit her eyes and softened her features.

'Something is not normal about her....Maybe she isn't human like everyone thinks.' he thought to himself as he leaned against the railing. He had seen her somewhere before but couldn't place it. She did remind him of a family friend. They had the same features. 'She looks like Ella. But there is no way they are related. Ella's family is vampires and this girl is human...I think. At least she acts like it very well.' She was shorter than he ...probably would still be shorter than him in heels.

"Lead the way princess." He smiled getting a kick out of her reaction. She didn't like it one bit. "You can call me by my name you know." Her voice was soft. He smiled as the walked down the steps following her. "If you insist on it. My dad seems very interested in your work. You must have impressed him with your paper. What was it about if you don't mind me asking?"

She chewed her lip before speaking. "I um I have an obsession with myths. I don't know my birth parents. I made up a story of how they are some mythical creature and how I thought I met her one day. That she gave me and my brother up to protect us..." Belle fiddled with her bracelet as they walked out of the building an towards the art building.

"That's very creative. Dad likes that about people. I think that's his main interest is other people. He doesn't like to get bored I guess." Zach chuckled at the last bit as he looked around as they walked. Belle smiled softly as they walked.

"Would you say that you're a creative person, Zach?" She looked over at him as they turned towards the townhomes.

"I don't really know. I'm a business major. Not a lot of them are creative." Zach smiled as he noticed a friend of his waving slightly as she opened the fence to the townhouse. He followed her inside. He noted she still hadn't unpacked yet. "Any idea where your portfolio is?" he chuckled leaning against the wall.

"Uhm...maybe." She smiled slightly hurrying up the stairs. He noticed the canvas paintings leaning against the wall that had the door to the garage. He walked over to them slowly looking through them.

One caught his eye. 'Dad said she came from a human town with no connections that they could find to our world...How did she have a painting of Ella's mother.' That's when it clicked that painting that hangs in the west wing of that house has painted a what's supposed to be Ella's sister that died when she was born. Her mother had triplets Ella being the only savior....or so they told everyone. The paintings of both her dead siblings were cast with a spell to see how they would look now. Zach had never paid attention to it really. No wonder he thought he knew her.

"She beautiful isn't she?" Belle's voice broke his train of thought. He nodded as he looked it over once more. "Do you know her?" he asked seeing the painting back how they were. He turned around to see that she had a black messenger bag with her. She had also changed into jeans and a nicer top. She smiled softly blushing as she looked her over.

"I don't know her...I've never met her...and yet I feel like I'm supposed to." She nodded towards the door. "We should go don't wanna be late." He nodded walking to the door with her. He walked out to the sidewalk looking back at her as she locked the door. He pulled his phone out texting Ella.

Z - Hey is your family is coming to dinner tonight right?

E- Yes. Mom insisted on it though. She won't be here though. She had a meeting with the council but dad and I will. Any idea why?

Z- I think it has something to do with this human girl dad let into the college. She um...has a painting of your mother but has never met her. It's weird.

E- Hmmm that is weird. We just got here you around?

Z- On our way be there in 10.

"Tonight should be interesting." Zach smiled looking over at her as she put her keys away. She looked up at him with her grey eyes. 'She doesn't even know the world she is about to discover...' He wanted to warn her but he wasn't sure if it was even his place to say.

"You say that because?" She followed him as they began to walk. She tucked some of her hair behind her ear. He wanted to know more about her...and he wanted to protect her. He could feel it from within him. He knew exactly what it was.....but he needed to wait till she understood things. Tonight was gonna be a lot for her to take in. He didn't want to overwhelm her with the fact that she was his mate. "I just think it will be is all." He smiled at her as they walked. The four main vampire family would be there tonight.
