I wish I could fly, soaring high above the clouds
I wish for rain, to wet my parched throat
I wish it get up on stage, the crowds chanting my name
I wish my mouth would let me speak
I wish for the night to hide my insecurities
I wish on a coin, throwing my dreams into the wind
I wish I was the lamb, and you the lion
I wish they listened
I wish I had a tissue to dry the tears when they fall
I wish tomorrow would come so I can escape today
I wish the world wouldn’t judge me
I wish for a voice that doesn’t lie to me
I wish that arms would hold me when I’m scared
I wish people wouldn’t pass me by
I wish on a star for all the things that can never be
I wish my life would change
