Chapter One

Chloe's P.O.V

BEEEEPP BEEEEP" my alarm on my phone buzzed loudly. "Ugh" I groaned and crawled out of bed. I wasn't really looking foward to school today being I had tests in pretty much every class. I hopped in the shower, threw on my leggings, my favorite shirt from Pac Sun, and tossed on my vans and went down stairs. I plugged in my blow dryer and staightener and began to blow dry my long wavy hair. When I was done straightening/blow drying it I put on my make up, squirted myself with my victoria secret perfume, brushed my teeth, and ran out the door and headed for the bus stop. I saw my bestfriend Jeanie waiting for me. She was relativley thin with shoulder length brown hair. We have been friends for as long as i ccan remember and we do everything together. "Hey Chloe!" she smiled brightly at me. I'm very miserable in the morning. Who wouldn't be going to a hell hole every day? "Hey Jean" I said as nicely as possible. She was dating a very cute boy named Nash. He had bright blue eyes and farely pale skin. Jeanie was convinced it was love.

As the bus approached our bus stop I put in my head phones to block out the noise from the bus full of queers. I put on some Lana Del Rey and closed my eyes and leaned up against a window. "We're here" Jeanie said knudging my arm lightly. I took my head phones out and walked off the bus. I wouldn't consider myself the most popular girl in school but I wouldn't say I'm a loser either. I had a good amount of friends and I went to a decent amount of parties. I'm your typical high school student. I trudged through the halls making my way to my locker. I got my stuff for first period and headed for home room. "Hey faggot!" my best guy friend Cameron Dallas walked beside me. I always knew he had this thing for me ever since we met. But I love him as a brother and I guess there has alays been small feelings for him there. "Hey Cam, did you do Ms. Louis homework?"

"No? Who do you think I am?" Cameron chuckled.

"Shit were screwed" I giggled a little. We made our way to homeroom and sat down for role call. "Chloe Harvey?"

"Here" I responded to my homeroom teacher. As she continued with the list she was interrupted by the loud speaker.

"Excuse me can we have Chloe Harvey to the Dean's office for a moment please?" Shit. I wonder what I did this time. This school had a way for blaming me for everything. I'm not even bad. I have A's and B's on every report card, and I stay out of trouble. Even though I talk back sometimes, I've never did anything too serious. I pushed open the doors to Dean River's office and sat in the chair in front of his desk. Except I wasn't the only one. An unfimilar boy was sitting in the seat next to me. He was tall, had dirty blonde hair that was flipped up in the front, decently muscular, and relatively tan. He was wearing Khakis, a tank top that seemed to be from Pac sun, and red vans. I looked at him being the curious person I am. He looked back at me and smiled. His smile lit up his whole face. It was white and so perfect. This boy was very attractive. I immediately felt self concious.

"Good morning Ms. Harvey." Dean rivers said politely

"Good morning Dean" I tried to sound cheery, even though my very raspy voice didn't help.

"This is Matthew Espinosa. He is new to our school. You and him happen to share the same schedule and I'm trusting you to show him around for a couple a days until he gets the hang of things. Can you manage that for me?" I looked over at the cute boy who was smiling again at me.

"Yah sure" I said politely still looking at him. I smiled back nicely. We got up from our chairs and walked out of the Dean's office. We headed down the hall.

"Hey my names Matthew Espinosa, but you can call me Matt if you'd like" He smiled brightly.

"Hello Matt my name is Chloe Harvey, you can call me Chloe. I don't have a nickname" Matt chuckled softly.

"So do you like going here?" Matt asked

"Yah, its not too bad I guess" I responded simply.

"Cool" He began to read his schedule. "How's having Ms. Louis for Math first period?"

"Ugh" I sighed. "It sucks, she's the worst, that's probably the reason she's forty and single" we both laughed. His laugh was adorable and hilarious. Of course it made me laugh harder.

"Anyone I should avoid? Any cliques that are bad news?" He wondered.

"Yes actually, avoid Linsay's group of friends. As pretty as they might be they're miniplative bitches who only care about themselves and they make fun of others. They think everyone loves them, but everyone hates them. People only act like they care about them is cause they're afraid of her." I said in various sarcastic tones. Lindsay and I don't get along at all. We always are up against eachother. If its for prom queen, class president, best looking in the year book etc. She tries to beat me at everything I do. And she does it without fail.

"Is there anyone ill get along with?" He asked

"I don't know. What do you like to do? Tell me about yourself." I smirked at him

"Well, I love food. I enjoy penny boarding, watching movies, playing video games, I play football, I love roller coasters. I also am very out going and will do any dare. I basically enjoy having fun with friends. Oh I almost forgot I love to surf!" He was very charming when he talked. The weird thing is he'd fit in great with my group.

"To be honest Matthew, I mean Matt, you'd fit in great with my group of friends. I hangout with my best friend Jeanie Colstine, her boyfriend Nash Grier, my best friend Cameron Dallas, Jack Gilinsky, Jack Johnson, Mohogany Lox, Jess Zilly, Hayes Grier (Nash's little brother), Courtney Freeman, and Aaron Carpenter. We enjoy all those things and more." I was pretty excited to know he'd fit in with us. He was really cute.

"Wow great! So I should stick with you then?" Matt sounded more excited then me.

"Yah sure!" the bell rang and we headed for Ms. Louis class
