My Heart is So Broken

  "Come on Aria. You have to ask him to the Valentine's Day Dance." Agilina urged me. "No Agilina. I'm too shy." I say. "You can do it Aria!" Giselle said. "No~!" I complain.

  "Hey Keven!" Agilina said. "Yeah?" He asked. "Will you go to the Valentines Day dance with Aria?" She asked. I bury my head in my hands. I feel him look at me. "No." He said. They can't feel it, but the world ended inside of me. Turned down by my crush.

  The lunch bell rung and I grabbed my lunch pail and book. I went over to the usual spot where my friends and I usually hung out. I open my book and start reading. About ten minutes later, my classmate, Andrew, came over to ask me a question. "Hey Aria." He said. I looked up. "Oh, hey Andrew. What is it that you need? Need help with homework again?" I ask. "No. It not that, it that  Colin wants to ask you to the school dance." He said. "Oh. Uhh...sure. Why not?" I say. "Thanks Aria. I actually bet Colin $40 to ask you out." He explained. So I'm just some person to bet on!?

=Time Skip to day of dance=

 "Bye Mom! Thanks for the ride!" I shout as I run to class with my brother. "Bye! Have a good day! I'm picking you up this evening!" She shouts back. I don't reply because I'm late for first period. I wore a pink dress with my hair down, held back with a black headband with a bow on it.

=Time Skip to lunch=

  I grab my lunch pail, book, and line up so my class could head out. We are let out and I read my book in the shade, leaning against a pillar. "Hey Aria." Colin says. "Oh, hey, Colin." I say to him, putting my book next to my lunchbox. "Aria, I'm dumping you. Andrew forgot his $40." Colin explained. Tears prick in the back of my eyes and I ball my hand into fists. "I...I see. I...I have to go." I say, running in the direction of the girl's bathroom.

  I stay in a bathroom stall until I feel ready to come out. I walk out of the bathroom and my friends are there, waiting outside. "Hey Ari." Faye says. "We heard about what happened." Juliata explains. I burst back out into tears in front of them and they pull me into a hug. "Even if they dump you, we'll never leave your side." Faye says. "We'll stick together to the end because." Juliata says. "We're friends to the end." Faye finishes. They're the bestest friends a girl could ever ask for.

=Time Skip to last day of school=

  "Good bye Aria. Never forget us." Juliata says. "I wish I never had to leave this school. I'll miss you guys so much!" I cry. "Let's have a sleepover before the next school year starts. Agreed?" Faye asked. "Agreed." Juliata and I say. Colin and Keven come over. "Hey, can we speak to Aria? In private?" Keven asks. "Ok." Faye says, walking away with Juliata.

  "Hope you'll be happy at your new school. We won't miss you." Keven says. "WELL AT LEAST I'LL BE AWAY FROM YOU TWO JERKS!" I cry out. My mom honks her horn and I leave the school.
