The school hallway was filled with people as Riley walked down it. People everywhere wearing different coloured clothing, had their lockers sprawled open on either side of the walls. Posters of celebrities littered the doors while books, bags, coats and purses filled the inside of it. A rumble of voices drifted through the hallway, the lively scene made one conversation hard to focus on. Riley made her way through the packed hallway, She was extra careful not to bump into anyone. Behind her followed a petite girl. The trusted blonde had a red binder in her hand, as well as a Hello Kitty pencil case. She had a look of determination on her face while trying to keep up with the leader in front.

Scarlet glided her way through the hallway, flashing a flawless smile to everyone she knew. She spotted her locker and made a bee line to it, swaying her hips as she walked. The red head quickly spun her combination into the lock and opened up the door. Inside revealed binders neatly piled on the top shelf, beside them were her course textbooks. A red framed, magnetic mirror was positioned perfectly to the girl's height. A black coat occupied one of the hooks while a deep violet purse hung beside it. There was a pair of hardly worn black uggs at the bottom of the locker.

Scarlet grabbed her biology textbook and binder off the top shelf. She unhooked her purse from the inside of her locker and slid the straps up her arm, onto her shoulder. The girl examined herself in the magnetic mirror, assessing every part of her face. She placed a perfectly manicured hand on her flawless face and stroked her cheek, not taking her eyes off the mirror.

Scarlet spotted a blurry figure approaching her from the corner of her eye. The blur started to come into focus as it walked closer towards the red head.  A familiar brown mop top hair came into view. He had broad shoulders that drapped a red shirt and  had black denim jeans on to compliment a shirt. The guy’s hair fell perfectly, covering his right blued eye, perfectly a lining a chiseled jaw line just below. Scarlet smiled at him, inviting the guy to embrace by lifting an arm up. The guy didn’t return the smile, nor fall into the embrace.

“Hello, honey.” She cooed as the man came closer.

“Hey baby, why didn’t you return my call last night?” He interrogated. The tension started to build up, but everyone in the hallway didn’t stop to stare, they continued walking, not noticing the scene going on in front of them. Scarlet smiled sweetly towards the guy. He called 4 times the night before, leaving 2 voicemails and 6 text messages.

“Cameron, sweetheart,” Scarlet batted her eyelashes towards the guy.  “I wasn’t able to get back to you because I was up all night with a lot of homework. I left my phone upstairs in my room because I didn’t want to have any distractions. When I was done, I didn’t even get to check them! I was so tired.” Her arms clasped onto his neck as she told the story. A sad smiled planted on the girl’s face after she finished. Cameron narrowed his eyes at the red head, but quickly shook his head and returned a small smile. She leaned in and gave Cameron a peck on the lips and let go.

"Hi, Cameron," There was a squeak from behind them. Both teenagers turned their head to the blonde girl. Cameron flashed a toothless grin to her.

"Hey, Gabby, What's up?" the blonde girl grinned and her face was painted red. She mumbled a quick excuse about seeing a teacher and stocked off. Gabby and Scarlet have been best friends since elementary school, at least, that's what they tell people. Through all the years, Gabby has been a sidekick, someone that needed a leader to follow. Scarlet hasn't trusted her, not with her darker secrets. Outside of school, they don't hang out as often as she does with her other friends.

"Do you want to go to the movies tonight?" Cameron asked while leaning on the locker. His attention went back to Scarlet. The girl contemplated in her head a bit, thinking over her options. The girl slowly smiled after she came to a decision. Her green eyes locked on Cameron's brown eyes.

"Yeah, sure, I'd love too." Scarlet smiled. A diamond mouth shined back to her. Cameron grabs the textbooks that litter the red head's hands. He offered her his arm, and Scarlet grinned. They walked down the crowded hallway together, linked arms, like a human wall. The teenagers stuck close to the side as the power couple made their way to their homeroom destination.
