They say you by the time you get to college, you should have outgrown any outlandish ways. There's no time for toys and playful ways. Once you get to college, time begins to slow. Homework, classes, responsibilities. Those are your priorities.
But what if I'm not ready to be grown.
I thought I was ready. My life was exactly where I needed it to be. I was a senior in college. Only a few steps away from finally getting my degree in biology and moving on to medical school. The next step of my life was in the palm of my hand. Just inches away from becoming a reality.
But little did I know my life was about to be turned upside down.
I was a simple girl. My mother always forced this on me. All I knew was school and books. I never had the classic Barbie dolls or any toys in fact. I grew up reading. Honing my intelligence so I'd be that much farther ahead once I got to college. I've never had a grade lower than an A+. I've never had the chance to truly connect with anyone.
Until I met him.
Idiotic. Immature. Childish. But yet there was something about him. I was drawn to him as if I was in a trance. It was foolish. But I just couldn't stop myself. He was perfect in all of his outlandish ways.
Life may actually be a fairytale after all.
