"Bye mom, bye dad see you in two weeks. I love you." Little did Daniel know that that would the last time he saw them again. Who is gonna take care of me thought Daniel? After a year from foster home to foster home from orphanage to orphanage he got adopted by a man and his two stuck up sons Dallas and Dale. The only reason his new father even considered adopted him was because the money his parents left for him, and let me tell you the Pennel's were not less fortunate people.

"DANIEL HEW PENNEL why is there potato chip crumbs on the sofa and floor" his step brother Dallas yells.

"I am coming, just let me finish cleaning dad's room" Daniel yells back. Poor Danny never got a break. Work, work, work, here a work there a work, everywhere a work work. All WORK! Dale was the easiest on him out of all of the three. The father Davey was a gold digging, egotistical maniac and worked Dan the hardest.

"Daniel would you hurry up, these dishes aren't gonna clean themselves" yelled Davey

"Be right there, I promise" Dan yelps back as he tries to catch his breath. He thought he might pass out.

"Don't forget to get the mail please" Dale asked politely not that it helped it was just more work to do. After Daniel finished all his other chores he got the mail. As he checked the letters a party invite for the richest, prettiest nicest girl in the whole county. He screamed internally, then screeched out

"Dallas, Dale, Davey there is mail from Cindy Howard" within 0.3 seconds he heard loud stomps descending the stairs.

"What" cried Dale

"Really let me see" Dallas rushed as he pushed Dale out of the way. They then fought over who got to read it first.

"BOYS STOP IT right now, give me the invitation!" He rips the invite out of Daniel's hands. As he reads it his grin grows 300 times in size at the same rate the boys anticipation goes. "Boys are you ready to go to the richest girl's in the county party?" The boys smiles increase like the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland.

Back at the Howard's house the mood was exact opposite.

"Mom why do I have to have a party? I don't like anybody in a hundred mile radius." She lied. "Is it not okay to not like a boy. I'm not like all girls." Cindy questioned. She absolutely despised parties and being social. All she needed was a comfy spot and a good book.

"You are a young lady. You need to be social. If you aren't gonna do it for yourself you father and me will do it for you!" Cindy's mother says. Cindy had never been a girl that wanted all the boys to like her or going to a party ever single weekend. She never really had dated before either. The party was going to be held in three days and Cindy's mother was going to find her a husband if it was the last thing she does.

Two days later back at the Pennel's and there was shoes, ties, suits and anything that they might need for the party. Danny thought he might drop dead right then and there. His father was working him to the bone. He barely got any sleep as is but with the party just around the corner he didn't get any. He was lucky enough to sit down for a couple seconds.

"Danny have you seen my socks?"

"Danny did you shine my shoes?"

"Dan where did you out my tie?"

"Daniel how do you tie a bow tie?" That all he heard Danny, Danny, Danny. When would he have time to get ready himself. At this rate he will be lucky get both boys ready. The boys had to look p - e - r - fect, but when will it be his time. It almost seemed as if they were trying to take forever.

"Finally we are ready to go" Dale said proudly as he checked himself out in the mirror.

"Ya, we look great. To bad you don't have time to get ready." States Dallas in a whiney tone. Daniel hadn't even noticed this until he brought it up. As his family claimed into the fancy car he started to weep. The car drove out of site and off to the ball. After they turned he screamed
