*Third Person*

The door clicked open, swinging inwards slowly with a quiet creak. Footsteps can be heard as a raven-haired werewolf girl walked into the room. Her purple-tipped ears flattened against her head when she saw the state of the blonde human boy in front of her. No. Not human. No longer human anyway. He was now a werewolf, much like she was.

The werewolf girl walked as quietly as possible towards the bed where the blonde werewolf lay sleeping. She reached out her hand to touch him, before quickly retracting it when he took in a shaky breath. Her tail drooped down with her mood. Almost silently, she whispered to him.

"Garroth...?" she muttered. The only reply she received was the slight twitch of a blue-tipped ear. She sighed. "Garroth, Hun... I'm so sorry. He wasn't thinking. I know you weren't either. It's no ones' fault but..."

She trailed off. She did not want to say his name. Not after what he did to her. What he did to her friends. Her fiancé. She closed her eyes. She wasn't going to think about it. Not now. For the sake of the blonde in front of her. She opened her eyes to see he had awoken.

"Aphmau..." he whispered, still half asleep, "Don't think about him. Please. It won't do anyone any good."

The werewolf winced at a sudden pain in his body. The transformation took a lot of energy out of him. He wondered if it was like that for the raven-haired girl next to him.

He moved his attention to his newly acquired ears and tail. Blonde, the same shade as his hair, with blue tips, his favourite colour. How was he going to hide them? What would his friends think? His family? Although most of them already knew, his youngest brother didn't, neither did more than half of his friends. Would they think differently of him if he told them? What about his crush? He hadn't even told them his feelings, let alone that he's now a werewolf! These ears and tail could completely turn him away from them!

The room was silent for a few minutes. The boy was slowly waking up. The girl was just looking down as she sat on the small wooden chair next to the bed. Another boy could be heard calling from down stairs. The two werewolves could sense the familiar sent of the girl's mate, even through the floor. There was a moment before the raven-haired werewolf replied, leading to a werewolf with jet black hair and matching eyes to appear in the doorway.

"I'm ready to try again," he says to the blonde from the doorway. The pained werewolf just nodded.
