I did what she suggested and tried out for the team no one liked me there at first till they saw me play Claya got something so I don’t see her much cause im with my new friends all the time and they said she’d ruin me if I stayed around her
“Hey Franny…” I said walking in there was smoke all over the room and I heard coughing Claya was in here I knew it already
“Hey Alex” Franny said she and Mary were next to Claya both healthy of course Claya looked so weak I guess cause I haven’t seen her in 5 weeks straight she was looking at me with wonder in her eyes
“Whatcha want?” Mary asked
“Nothing its just im going to the movies with my friends”
“Why don’t you watch one with us?” Claya asked
“No thanks im going with my new friends” I said I saw her really frown and look away
“Okay go have fun then” I heard the hurt in her voice I turned and left I heard feet running after me down the hall
“You bastard!!” I turned Franny and Mary stood there pissed
“How am I-“
“If it wasn’t for Claya you’d still be hanging with us at lunch!!!”
“That’s right no football no friends no anything and you treat her like crap all of a sudden!”
“You two-“
“You need to go get checked cause your not the Alex we know!”
“You two don’t know what its like to have friends I don’t want to lose mine I’ve got a date”
“Date?”
“Yeah the cheer captain Samantha asked me to be her boyfriend today I said sure
“You’re not going to hang with friends?”
“Nope im going on my first date” I turned and walked away they stood with stupid looks on their faces I turned to look at them “Claya means nothing to me!”
