~El's POV~
I look down at my blade and I decide to do it. I slide the blade over my left forearm. I continue and continue until I'm cut off by my door opening. "EL IM SOR-" I look up from my arm and see Austin there with tears in his eyes. "El?" Austin says quietly as he walks toward me. "Put it down babe please?" I slowly put the bloody blade on my nightstand and look at Austin. He sits on the bed next to me and grabs me hardly and holds me tightly. "Baby please don't ever do that again. Please I love you so much." I begin to cry as Austin holds me. "I'm sorry Austin. I'm sorry.". "Don't do it again please."."Okay.". "Let's go get you cleaned up." Austin says as he lift me off the bed and hold my hand and we walk to the bathroom. "Sit on the counter." I push myself onto the counter and sit down. Austin goes and grabs a towel and he wets it. He grabs my left arm and stretches my arm out and dabs my arm with the towel and he begins to clean my bloody arm.
"There you go baby girl." Austin says as he grabs my waist and takes my off the counter. I get down and walk to room and hide my blade before Austin comes out. Then I lay on my bed. "El why? Why did you do it?" Austin ask as he walks back in my room and sits next to me on my bed."Nobody cares." I say lowly."Nobody cares about what?". "Me.". "Eleanor I care about you a whole lot and I'm pretty sure there's people you don't talk care about you."."But why would they I'm a nobody who doesn't belong here.". "El you have a reason to be here." Austin says as he slightly begins to cry. "Remember that I love you and you mean something to me." He begins to cry harder. I pull him in and give him a hug. "I'm sorry Austin." I let go of Austin and kiss him softly. "I love you El." Austin says into the kiss. "I love you too."
~2 weeks later~
~Austin's POV~
It's Saturday and I'm on my way to El's house. She's been doing better since what happened and I've been with her ever since at school, at home. I've made sure Derek is never near her, I've been making sure no one is around her. I've been all over her lately.
I'm pulling into El's driveway we're going to the beach, she told me she always used to go there with her dad before he was shipped off. So we decided thats were we will go there.
I honk my horn as I wait for her to come out. She comes out and gets in the car. "Hey." She says before she pecks my lips. "So to the beach right?" I say as I pull out the driveway. "Umm sure." I begin to drive. "Have you been?". "You just saw me last night and I'm still doing fine." She snaps as she pulls out her phone. "Sorry for asking?" I questioned. She just rolled her eyes.
~1 hour later~
I don't know what's wrong with Eleanor she's still acting snappy. She hasn't even been in the water, she's been on her phone the whole time. I'm walking back to her right now. I was in the water with a couple of friends.
"Wanna get in the water?". "No!" She snaps again. "Why are you acting so bitchy?. "I don't want to be here, especially with you." She gets out her chair then begins to walk. "What did I do?". "You were all up on the girls in the water!". "Eleanor you were acting like this before that.". "I just don't wanna be here. Can you take me home?". "Whatever." We walk back to our spot and get our stuff. As we where gathering the stuff the girls that I was with in the pool walks up.
"Hey Austin your leaving?" One of them ask. "Uhh yea." I look down and answer. "Ugh your still dating her?". She says looking at El. I don't say anything. Before I could even think of anything to say El punches the girl in her face. The girl falls and El get on too of she and continues to punch her. I stood there in shock for a minute but then I realized what was happening I grab El and get her off of her. I walk away with just El and I left our stuff on the floor. I take El to the car "Stay in here." I walk back to our spot and see the girls still standing there. I pick our things and say "And yea I'm still dating her." I walk back to the car and put the stuff in the trunk and I get in the car and begin to drive.
"Are you mad at me?" El asks. "No." I continue to drive. "Are you sure because your being really dry with me.". She slightly mumbles. "I'm sure okay? Now bequiet and let me drive in peace." I didn't mean to be so mean to her but what she did was not necassary. I pull into her driveway and before she gets out I say "Don't go in there doing anything stupid. Okay?" She nods and gets out the car. I pull off.
Half way to my house I decide to go back to El's house to make sure she was okay and I wanted to apologize. I pull in the driveway and go to her door and the door is unlocked I walked inside and I hear screaming coming from up stairs. I run up there and I go to El's room and open her door. I make eye conctact with El. "AUSTIN HELP ME!!"
