Finally. High school graduation and I get to leave Adri behind. I moved from city to city throughout high school, but I got used to it.

I've lived in New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles. And now, I am going to college at Panama City University.

I've always been a city girl. It's not like I really had a choice, but I like it. My parents divorced when I was 14. They were both cheating on each other anyway.

My dad enjoyed being a wealthy bachelor and the attention that came along with it, so he frequently traveled for "business."

Mom dated anyone she could get her hands on. Obviously, I was not brought up by responsible parents. I was the daughter of teenage parents.

They didn't give a shit about where I went to college, so I chose a big, exciting city. They gave me a full tuition check to bring and I couldn't transfer, but I didn't care.

They never really paid attention to who I hung out with because they were both gone all the time, so I had people over all the time. My boyfriends loved it and I liked that there were never any awkward confrontations.

I had always wanted siblings or something similar, so I decided to join a sorority. I got accepted as a pledge to the biggest and most exclusive house, so I was really excited.

On the way to LAX, I contemplate which name I will be known by. My full name is Adelaina Rosalie Haywood.

So far I've been a lot of variations.

The way I see it, a new name is a new person. I have been head cheerleader, volleyball powerhouse, student government president, theater extraordinaire, and art protege.

I don't know why, but this time feels different.
