Later that night Syd and Lex were sitting on the couch playing the wii. Syd bought a new game called tangled.. it was confusing, they kept getting upset with one another when they played it.
When they were in the middle of arguing about Lex's poor game playing skills there was a knock on the door.
Lex walked over to the door, as Syd was putting away all of the games and remotes. Lex opened the door, and standing there was Harry, with one bright red rose, and a card with the name "Sydney" in cursive on it. Harry was smiling like a dork, he was so nervous.. he thought Syd was the most beautiful girl in the world.
"Hi." said Harry nervously.
"Hey! Please do come in." said Lex quickly.
Syd stood up slowly as Harry walked into the living room.
"Hey Syd, you look nice tonight."
"Thank you, you look nice too.." Syd replied while they both chuckled.
The tension in the room was tremendous.
"Soo, are you guys gonna kiss orr..?" said Lex, trying to make the two get pass this awkward moment.
Harry walked slowly over to Syd, grabbed her by both of her arms. He had a very strong grip of them Syd remembered thinking. Harry looked dead into Syd's eyes, her pupils were the size of dimes. She was so nervous she couldn't feel the tips of her fingers.
Syd rushed into the kiss, she couldn't take the anticipation anymore.
She put her hands over Harry's cheekbones, pulled him into her, and kissed him like they were never going to see each other again.
Harry grabbed her waist, pulled her hips into his and they kissed for what seemed like an eternity, but it was an eternity that neither of them wanted to end.
Lex was stunned, she was so excited for the both of them.. she didn't want to interrupt, so she walked into her room to call Louis and tell him what had happened.
*RING**RING**RING* "your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice messaging system.." said the fading voice as she hung up the phone.
It was very unusual for Louis to not answer her call, she thought nothing of it and walked back into the living area to find Harry and Syd whispering and laughing.. they were huddled close together.
"You guys are dating now right, because if not, what you guys just did was weird.." Lex said jokingly to lighten the mood some more.
Syd looked over at Harry, and Harry looked at Syd..
"If we aren't i dont know how else to get this girl to like me." Harry said with a goofy smile on his face, as he ran his fingers through his hair.
"Then i guess so." Syd said laughing at Harry.
The new couple kissed one more time.
"Where's Louis?" asked Syd.
"im not sure.." replied Lex.
She called him one more time. *RING**RING**RING* "your call has been forwar-" the voice was cut off quickly by Lex hanging up.
"Thats strange" said Syd. Harry nodded agreeing with the two girls.
"Maybe he fell asleep, you know how odd he is.." said Harry.
"i suppose so.." agreed Lex, she didn't sound like she really believed what Harry had said.
"If you guys want to, we can go ahead and watch one of the movies.." said Lex trying to get passed this situation.
"you sure you dont mind us starting one without Louis here?" said Syd.
"we dont mind waiting." Harry added, speaking for the two of them.
"No, its fine. Tonight, i intended to have fun, and damn it thats what im going to do.." said Lex jokingly and pretending that it didn't really bother her.
The couple sat, cuddling on the couch, smiling and tickling each other while giggling happily.
Lex inserted the movie into the TV box.
As the movie started, Lex began to silently cry.
She wasn't telling the truth about Louis, Lex knew something.
Was she covering for him perhaps, maybe to make him look better in front of his friends.. whatever it was, she didn't want her best friend to know, and that is a big deal. Lat that night Harry and Syd fell asleep. Lex almost did, but she couldn't sleep thinking about Louis. In the morning when Syd and Harry woke up, Lex was making breakfast.
