*Two Days Later*
Max's Perspective
Today's the day of my Father's funeral. And honestly, I didn't want to go, but I went for my dad. Waylon and his wife, Lisa and the boys were here for Dad and my support. Aunt Lynn and Uncle Blake were at the funeral too. Everyone I've loved are gone,my mom left me, my grandma, and now my dad is gone. Tears streamed down my face. Aunt Lynn and Uncle Blake try to comfort me. Simon and Waylon helped me with my dad's funeral along with Father Clark the Preacher help with our prayers. Everyone including me sat down in our chairs to hear Father Clark to start. After he finished with the speech about God, He called me to the stage. I brought aunt Lynn with me to keep me calm so I don't break down. I wrote a speech to read to everyone and to my dad to here. I start to say my speech out loud. "My Father,my friend, you're now resting in peace, walking to heaven to see mom, I will wait until I see you and mom again, I promise to stay strong, I promise to keep myself from breaking, I still believe that you're still here but through my heart, I will miss your smile, I'll miss your hugs, your kisses, I'll miss your voice and you saying 'I love you.' I-" I started to cry, but I managed to finish my speech with my last words, "I love you, Daddy, I will miss you..." I hugged my aunt Lynn tightly. " I'm so proud of you, Max." She said rubbing my face and wiping my tears.
(Time Skip)
Everyone left except me, Aunt Lynn, Uncle Blake, Waylon, Lisa and Simon. We prayed our goodbyes. I caressed my dad's picture with my hand and crying. "I'll miss you, Dad. I wish I could go back in time to save you, but I can't. I wanted to tell you something before you left. I wanted to grow up and be like you!" Everyone went silent at what I said. "I wanted to be a Journalist and I wanted to tell you. And I never got a chance to tell you." I answered. "Max, are you-" Aunt Lynn was about to say something but I cut her off, "I want to go to Mount Massive Asylum to find you!"
