The broken hero

Annabeth

Gaia was ugly . She looked nothing like mother nature ,more like a tree trunk that grew legs and hated the world . She stood 6'4" with an earth brown skin tone .her hair was made out of roots from trees and her body resembled an ancient trunk . Moss grew at places and her eyes seemed almost shut but were open just enough to see her hazel eyes . She was barely awake ,barely able to walk .She stood in the back of the crowd of monsters commanding them forward .To her left she saw  Frank attempting to cover hazel ,as she raced around polybotes stabbing with her sparta. Jason and percy were working together as they had before ,to conjure up a storm ,tossing monsters and distracting the giants but leaving the demigods unharmed .Winds swept across and torrents came from the mini tyhpoon created by the two half bloods. Piper and leo were engaged in a fight with poryphiron and alcyoneus ,who had been reborn in greece .Leo chucked fireballs at the bane of hades merely trying to distract him long enough for nico to shadow travel him across the border .However nico was engaged in a fight of his own ."Annabeth we need a plan " screamed nico,as he and reyna battled the twins otis and ephialtes . He was right percy and jason were getting tired . The fight with the other giants had tired them out and the gods simply sent a lighning bolt or an arrow whenever a giant was down to kill them . She yelled "Frank " and tossed a vial of greek fire in the air and frank changed back into human form and shot it with an arrow ,buying them enough time to regroup .They stood in a line weapons, drawn their backs to a chasm ,that apparently led straight down ,into the land beyond tartarus ,the land of chaos ." Bow down little children you have already lost " spoke gaia ."never ", percy snarled " olympus is our home ,and these people are our family  " . It was then when the beginning of the end happened .Gaia spoke one word "now" and nico spun ,and disarmed percy and held him in front of him ,with a black dagger pressed against his neck .Percy's eyes were filled with astonishment but nico's were coal black but lined with rage . Before annabeth could even move she felt another dagger at her back and heard the stiff voice of Reyna say "i am sorry annabeth ,but i was promised the safety of camp jupiter " then nico spoke "and i was promised my sister ,even if she is reborn i shall be able to meet her reincarnation " Percy glared at Reyna,the disgust clear in his eyes .Annabeth hated being so helpless .she was the one to come up with the plan but now her mind drew a blank .Gaia needed her two demigod ,male and female ,sacrifices to be tossed into the chasm . She felt a tear drop down and percy gave her a smile and said "dont cry wise girl ,even when we're apart ill always be with you " .Then he elbowed nico in the gut ,grabbed his knife and threw it toward Reyna .Of course he missed but it distracted her long enough to get her free. Percy then let out a scream so loud it had to have shook mount saint helens back at home .Water surged around him ,breaking through the cracks of the earth ,taking the monsters with it . The giants quickly fell and the gods sent down their arrows and lightning .The earth shook ,water was exploding everywhere. With one last yell ,Percy released a burst of energy so big it left a crater where he stood .The rest of the seven remained unharmed but reyna and nico were nowhere to be seen . That was when percy fell backwards ,drained of energy .He fell backwards,into the chasm .Into the land of chaos .
